We plan to release R version 2.2.0 on October 6. Daily alpha releases will be available after the "Grand feature" freeze on September 8 and beta releases from September 22. The full schedule is available on http://developer.r-project.org (pending propagation delay from https://svn.r-project.org/R-dev-web/trunk/index.html). As usual, it is strongly preferred if bugs are discovered prior

Missed call
On some SIP phones it is possible to turn off the missed call notifications, but I am not aware of a way to do the same on any cell phones. How can I have the tests for my Rails app to be executed in a random order?
Hi How can I have the tests for my Rails app to be executed in a random order? Is there a simple solution using rake? I already posted my question to stackoverflow (http:// stackoverflow.com/questions/1376267/ruby-executing-tests-in-a-random- order-with-rake) but the few responses I got were not able to solve the problem. Thanks a lot! Pietro Di Bello

Missing methods
We have a custom implementation of the Mother Object idea. It''s inside of a module, basically like this: module Factory %w(account friendship person invitation message asset email_address birth).each do |klass| eval <<-EOF def self.create_#{klass}(attributes = {}) default_attributes = valid_#{klass}_attributes #{klass.camelize}.create!

R 2.1.1 slated for June 20
The next version of R will be released (barring force majeure) on June 20th, with beta versions available starting Monday. Please do check them on your system *before* the release this time... Apologies for the late announcement, but my department moved this week and I needed to be sure that my set-up survived the move. -pd -- O__ ---- Peter Dalgaard ?ster

Branch based on call volume
Is there a simple way to get call volume from a particular trunk within the dialplan (for conditional branching)? script.aculo.us 1.5_pre4
...ls thanks to all of you who help with ideas, patches and bug reports! The detailed CHANGELOG is available at: http://dev.rubyonrails.com/file/spinoffs/scriptaculous/CHANGELOG? rev=2124 The next release will be 1.5_rc1, so I declare a feature-freeze for now. Newly submitted enhancements will be slated for a post-1.5 version. On the road to a 1.5 final, I see much work ahead with improving unit test coverage, adding the missing pieces in the documentation and bug hunting. Thomas

Robust Cluster
I have a learning disability. In fact, I am a learning-disabled genius. So I pretty much keep to myself. I have a few friends. It's nice to meet you all. I don't call it Replikon.Net on a whim. Lately, I am building a robust cluster. You see, I am pretty much useless without my Slate. So I have, let's see, six (6) of them right now. They are Samsung XE700T1A Business Slates. 3 with
