in_place_collection_editor
Hi, I''m trying to write a helper for Scriptaculous'' InPlaceCollectionEditor component. I''ve already submitted a patch (http://dev.rubyonrails.org/ticket/4302). This was a drunk patch; it needs a bit of work (Don''t drink & code!). So far I''ve gotten it to work correctly with normal collections, but I want to use it for belongs_to relations as

Can I use "mcnemar.test" for 3*3 tables (or is there a bug in the command?)
Hello all, I wish to perform a mcnemar test for a 3 by 3 matrix. By running the slandered R command I am getting a result but I am not sure I am getting the correct one. Here is an example code: (tt <- as.table(t(matrix(c(1,4,1 , 0,5,5, 3,1,5), ncol = 3)))) mcnemar.test(tt, correct=T) #And I get: McNemar's Chi-squared

Problem installing a particular printer WinXP/Samba2.2.7a
Hello, I'm having a problem installing a printer on a Window XP box (the problem also occurs in Win2000 SP2). The symptoms are: Add a printer -> network -> type in \\pcprint\picasso You get a message that there is no driver for this printer on the server and to either click OK to continue or Cancel. Go to printer driver selection (I've disabled spoolss as I don't understand

rsync hanging after working reliably for years on one of my shares
Howdy all, I'm using rsync in conjunction with backuppc and have been backing up this share without incident for almost 3 years and it has decided to go and hang on me. Other shares on the same machine sync fine with identical settings, and nothing has changed on the backup end other than some routine dist-upgrades to keep update on security patches. I checked the apt cache and no rsync

FW: rsync hanging after working reliably for years on one of my shares
Thanks for the suggestions - I have done my best to follow them. I inserted the debug shim script and changed the rsync executable in rsync so that it called that instead, and got the same results. Here is the tail from that: 21381 0.000108 open("www.athenshousing.org/xmlrpc.php", O_RDONLY|O_LARGEFILE) = 3 21381 0.000122 fstat64(3, {st_mode=S_IFREG|0644, st_size=294, ...}) =

download extremely slow
I have been trying to download the latest version to my Macbook X version 10.6.8 from my institutions mirror http://cran.cnr.Berkeley.edu Usually is only takes minutes, but regardless of the browser or where I connect to the internet I have been unable to download because it would take upwards 2 days according to the download dialogue box. I'd really like to get the newest version to run some

VoipJet Terms of Service
I've heard good things about VoipJet here, so I was going to set up an account. Then I noticed their Terms of Service here: https://www.voipjet.com/tos.php Several things there are very concerning to me, and I'm interested in what other people here think of them. * The ToS specifically forbids use for any call relating to medical, financial, or government matters -- as well as any

IBM is our partner, not our friend. Sun has its interests too, and has 5 different entities of focus, which vary. CentOS Based Linux Firewall Document
I know that some of you from the list have asked me in the past for a copy of my CentOS based Linux Firewall document. There are also those that have no clue what I am talking about. This is for the former group... There is a new version of my document out. It's changed quite a bit since the last person asked me for it. Some of the changes are: * Updated the scripts in the Useful Shell

ZFS and Linux
Hello, I believe that ZFS and it''s concepts is truly revolutionary to the point that I no longer see any OS as modern if it does not have comparable storage functionality. Therefore I think that file system/disk manager with similar qualities should be written for Linux. Does Sun have plans to dual license ZFS as GPL so it can be ported to native Linux? If not, is it legal to write
