PAM vulnerability in portable OpenSSH

Let's look at the charges: 1. Complexity - it is self-evident that PAM adds complexity to login-like program's implementation. This is before one has to take into account its horribly broken, non-interruptible conversation functio...

Can I use "mcnemar.test" for 3*3 tables (or is there a bug in the command?)
Hello all, I wish to perform a mcnemar test for a 3 by 3 matrix. By running the slandered R command I am getting a result but I am not sure I am getting the correct one. Here is an example code: (tt <- as.table(t(matrix(c(1,4,1 , 0,5,5, 3,1,5), ncol = 3)))) mcnemar.test(tt, correct=T) #And I get: McNemar's Chi...

Problem installing a particular printer WinXP/Samba2.2.7a
Hello, I'm having a problem installing a printer on a Window XP box (the problem also occurs in Win2000 SP2). The symptoms are: Add a printer -> network -> type in \\pcprint\picasso You get a message that there is no driver for this printer on the server and to either click OK to continue or Cancel. Go to printer driver selection (I've disabled spoolss as I don't understand

I guess those people on the cited mail lists are using fake names. You've lost this one :-) I don't think it's Warren who's waffling. I certainly don't think the people on the referenced mail lists are anon...

rsync hanging after working reliably for years on one of my shares
...in there so... Checked files with recent ctimes and mtimes, nothing funny looking there like recursive links. Log excerpt attached beneath. I think alphabetically xmlrpc.php may be the last file in the share, is it coincidence it hangs right after? Thoughts? Ideas? Unfounded speculation? Blatant slander? Anything? Just about out of ideas on my end. I've got a dozen or so other hosts that are happily syncing away and passing all their unit tests but this one has greeted me the last 5 or 6 days with a sad face and I don't seem to be making any progress. Any ideas at all? Again, log snippet...

VoipJet Terms of Service
I've heard good things about VoipJet here, so I was going to set up an account. Then I noticed their Terms of Service here: https://www.voipjet.com/tos.php Several things there are very concerning to me, and I'm interested in what other people here think of them. * The ToS specifically forbids use for any call relating to medical, financial, or government matters -- as well as any

Then leave it off the list in the first place. When I see a company demonized or slandered, while another is praised, it's typically based not on actual considerations of their donation to the community, but blind vendor alignments - the whole reason AT&T became a problem, then Microsoft, etc... Don't shoot the messenger, I'm not the one slamming companies. But when I...

We should not expect a fair fight in a secular world that is hostile to God and uncomfortable around the truth of Christ. Therefore, our response to abuse, distortion, or slander should not be angry resentment, but patient witness to the truth, in the hope and with the prayer that returning good for evil may open hearts to the truth. We must recognize that persecution is normal and that much of the protection Christians have in America is abnormal in history and in the worl...

ZFS and Linux
Hello, I believe that ZFS and it''s concepts is truly revolutionary to the point that I no longer see any OS as modern if it does not have comparable storage functionality. Therefore I think that file system/disk manager with similar qualities should be written for Linux. Does Sun have plans to dual license ZFS as GPL so it can be ported to native Linux? If not, is it legal to write
