hardlink bug in 2.6.4?
The background:
I host one of the unofficial slackware mirrors & push to a high speed (unlisted) mirror that several other unofficials use for pulls. To save time/disk/bandwidth I use a custom script to hardlink the trees prior to pushing the updates to said unlisted mirror.

kernel crash
Hi all,
I'm having a bit of a problem with a CentOS box. It ocasionally
crashes/freezes. I configured to send all kernel logging to a
remote box so I've been able to catch one kernel crash:

Fwd: RFC: Moving toward Discord and Discourse for LLVM's discussions
Slack's community moderation features are pretty terrible - it's simply
not set up for managing public-facing communities; it's set up for
managing private workplace team collaboration. The best way to try to
explain the features which are missing are to look at something like the
Matrix moderation guide (https://matrix.org/docs/guides/moderation/);
many of these features are

No, certainly not instead of. A mailing list is essential. I'm part of a
few slack communities and it seems an excellent platform for realtime
discourse and noob baiting. Very sadly the #centos and #rhel freenode irc
channels seem to be rather quiet these days and

Should we have a Gluster Community slack team? I'm interested in
everyone's thoughts on this.

Enterprise Linux Slack
Hallo,
Considering the relative decline of IRC (sorry folks) I have set up a Slack
for Enterprise Linux. I've been using "pythondev.slack.com" and honestly,
its a fantastic tool for community support with really nice features for
computer centric discussion.

Adding a slack for communication?
The archival process of the mailing list makes searching for past issues possible. Slack, and irc in general, is a more closed garden than a public archived mailing list.
That said, irc/slack is good for immediate interaction between people, say, gluster user with a nightmare and a knowledgeable developer with deep understanding and willingness to assist.
If there's a way to make a

Adding a slack for communication?
It's great idea! :)
But think about creating Slack for all RedHat provided opensource
projects. For example one Slack workspace with separated Gluster, Ceph,
Fedora etc. channels.
I can't wait for it!

@Amye +1 for this great Idea, I am 100% for it.
@Vijay for archiving purposes maybe it will be possible to use free service as https://slackarchive.io/ <https://slackarchive.io/>

Slack variable in OR
Hi dear R users,
Is it basically correct that a problem is ( linearly on nonlinearly ) modeled so that the slack variable is bounded by an upper bound ?
If so, how it can be handled and coded practically ?
for example:
x1+ x2 =< b so ----> x1 + x2 + s=b
s=b- x1 - x2
b- x1 - x2 =< upper value
But algorithms can not calculate b- x1 - x2 , because

ext3 and secure deletion of files and file slack
Hi,
Can anyone please tell me if I am right in assuming that ext3
does not care about file slack? Specifically I am thinking about
the use of the secure_delete utility which, includes "sfill" to
do secure overwriting of the unused diskspace on the harddisk.
I quote from the secure_delete README below for its modus
operandi (I appreciate that some of this will not apply to
sfill).
