Xen+Munin+Monit?
Hi All, What is the best way to remotely monitor/administer a group of xen domUs across a network? We''re planning to deploy a few H/W servers with paravirtualized domUs. What are the best alternatives? What works and What doesn''t? Share your experiences. Cheers Rajan _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com

vCPUs and Weight/Caps
Hello Everyone, I am hoping I can get some help with how vCPUs work with weights and caps 1. If I have a domU with 2 vCPUs and a weight of 256, does the weight double (512) or is this 256 time slice across both vCPUs. If the weight does not double, how is it beneficial to have multiple vCPUs? 2. If the domU has 2vCPUs and a cap of 100% how does this work since 100% is a mex of one physical

Bug#693217: Removal of xenstore tdb file before xenstored daemon
Package: xen-utils-common Version: 4.0.0-1 Consider removal of xenstored tdb file (located at /var/lib/xenstored/tdb) before start of xenstored daemon during the boot (or removal during the shutdown/reboot of the server) as proposed by Ian Campbell during our discussions [1]. Bug#683170: Xend causing high CPU load - starting domU failing
Package: xen-utils-4.0 Version: 4.0.1-5.2 After clean upgrade from Lenny I got xend highly use CPU resources causing domU don't being created - due to timeouts for vifs and vbds (mostly CPU Steal Time was increasing - no iowaits). Tried Xen boot options acpi=noirq|ht without success. Option acpi=off solved that issue, but performance of the server was horrible. The final workaround was to

Xend highly uses CPU with multiprocessor setup
Hi all, I am experiencing issue on freshly upgraded Debian Squeeze with Xen 4.0.1 from Debian repositories. After upgrade the system with Xen was slow - no iowaits only Steal time was high. I tried workarounds regarding ACPI - only acpi=off was working but the performance decrease was quite large due to only one CPU core was active at that time. The last workaround I am running right now is to
