Windows 2000 and Samba
...previously. Other WinNT and Win2k machines can get to these shared resources fine, just not these two. I haven't found anything yet to give a reason why or support a fix for this. Does anyone have any suggestions or paths to lead me down? Paul Harlow CCNA, MCP System and Network Administrator SKLD Information Services LLC 720 S. IP Binding
Hi all, New to Samba here so please bear with dumb questions. I have a server that's currently running SMB shares off of device 10.0.0.1 on a private network. It has a second device, 10.0.0.2 that I would like to add to the device bindings for Samba. I've tried this in the smb.conf file but it doesn't seem to work. Here's what I tried: workgroup = SOMECOMPANY netbios

Samba and Win2K failures
...without problems. No other workstations are affected by this and they are also using the same DNS and WINS servers. There were also never any static mappings to this resource from either Win2k machine. Any ideas are always appreciated. Strange server string behavior
...rary IP address that the new server is using. Obviously this is not a show stopper, it's more annoying than anything however our users tend to confuse fairly easily and I wouldn't want to create any more of a problem than they already manage.
