Re: Sonar ??
...> Question is whether this > program is going backwards in some areas. That's a good question. Lately, a lot of stuff in Wine has been losing compatibility; I don't know if that's because "hacks" are being removed in place of developing full-qualified DLLs over time or simpley because advancements in one area are breaking other areas. In any case, I don't really know how to do regression testing; so, I can't report back to the wine-devel alias what broke what. However, I do read up on the wine-devel alias, and lately, there's been a lot of work on directsou...

This is not to say that I don''t support fully the efforts of folks like John Lodge who are working to provide a GUI; I''m simpley not going to build one myself. 3. I''m going to monitor the list must less closely. I appreciate any help all of you can give me to help pick up the slack. ----------------- I want to make it clear that I am in no way abandoning Shorewall or my commitment t...

4.00 pre47: no editing cursor
Hi, Yesterday I tried pre47 on my laptop. In general it worked fine in a very simpley setup booting Linux from ext2 via menu.c32. But pressing TAB didn't give me a visible cursor, so command line editing was a little tricky. -- Regards, Feri.

'which' and installing Linux software on -STABLE
Has anyone else had frustrating problems with the use of 'which' in Linux mode ? I have some SUN software which I am trying to install. I am running Linux bash to run the install script - running 'uname' returns 'Linux' But the SUn code does 'which uname' to get the path to 'uname' before running it. the ;which' command is a bash builtin, and this

Samba 4.5.0 dbcheck problems
Hi all, I've now upgraded to Samba-4.5.2 and I've tried running: samba-tool domain tombstones expunge but I simpley get: Removed 0 objects and 0 links successfully, however I'm still seeing several hundred errors when running a dbcheck with the "not remocing dangling forward link" error. I've checked my time.py and it has been renamed so the expunge process should be using nettime.py. Any id...

cannot set filesystem permissions on shares
...aying, if you remove 'everyone' from the share tab, you must replace it with 'domain user', so why bother ? No, what i did say to Pisch, was, remove "dom admins and dom user" and add everyone back. Because i think that "older bug" is the problem here. And thats simpley found by useing on the share Everyone/FULL Cont. Greetz, Louis

Samba 4.5.0 dbcheck problems
Hi all, I've recently upgraded all our DC's (we have 9 spread over various global Sites) to 4.5.0. I run a dbcheck on our FSMO-owner DC once per day from a cron job and this threw up a ton of errors on the first pass after the upgrade. After running it several times with the --fix flag I've got the errors down to 603 but these last errors are refusing to be removed. Here is an

...Because ADUC does count the UID/GIDS for you. Now, the key here is .. ! In this order ! 1) add a GID on "domain users". 2) add gids on all groups you need on the file systems (thats the minimal requirement). Do this BEFORE you set rights or change shares 3) add uids to all users, simpley a must. It's adviced to keep "Domain Users" as primary group. 3a) Use security groups to allow/deny access. If you followed "domain users" is primary group. 3b) Use the security groups you set as primary group. Both then there own advantage and flaws.. 5) Now you...
