Hi all, I Use thunderbird and firefox, and sometimes Seamonkey on my job (onto windows 7, 64 bits) and at home (under Ubuntu 11.10 64 bits), so for that, I use Wine, which was very nice until few weeks when I had error message and that doesn't worked more... For this use, I use portable software (from portable apps), and I already post my problem on other forums

Hello Sime, I have forwarded this message to GPL-Violations. While it isn't a violation, it is trying to prevent any and it would be far better for everyone if you were given the correct information from the beginning. Windows RPC and samba
Hello Please can you tell (write ;-) me, whether there is some possibility to use samba as some RPC proxy for windows RPC functions? If I have a simple client server application, that uses RPC, it works fine in one network, but when I want to have each (client and also server) in different private network, I'll need to use sime kind of RPC over http or som RPC support from IIS or such ugly

kern.chroot_allow_open_directories
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 The chroot(2) man page describes a sysctl called 'kern.chroot_allow_open_directories' which controls whether a process can chroot() and is already subject to the chroot() syscall. It seems that this sysctl can be trivially changed from within a chroot'd process (ie: if that process has superuser privileges). Is this sysctl meant to

[airween@gmail.com: DC's are still unavailable when PDC halted]
Hi folks, sorry for the re-post, I need some help to solve this problem. Since my previous e-mail, we made a set-up: there is a Clear Pass device (Aruba), which controlls the network access for users. Between the CP and these two DC's there is a load balancer. But, when we stopped the DC1, which was set up first, and the DC2 works continously, then the authentication of users is stopped

changing color scheme in R in UNIX
Hi, I've been using R in Windows but am now starting to use it more often in the UNIX environment. In Windows, I'm used to the text provided by the user appearing in red, and the output from R appearing in blue. Is there a way to achieve this in UNIX? Thanks, Andrew [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

TDM400P noise?
Hi all. I bought Digium's dev kit and a used IBM PL300 PC to try it out in. The X100P works fine, but with the TDM400P I get what I can best describe as 'interrupt noise'... noise whenever I type a key on the keyboard, or when something accesses the disk drive, uses cpu, etc. In my other PC it works fine, no noise and sounds great. But I cannot dedicate the other PC to it.
