Problems with deliver (LDA)
Hi,
I'm using Dovecot's (1.0.rc2) 'deliver' (no sieve) as LDA - calling it
from a .qmail file.
It seems that 'deliver' destroys "message/rfc822" attachments (forward
as attachment).
My .qmail file looks like this, and use qmail to deliver a copy directly
to my Maildir, and 'deliver' to deliver a second copy of the same
message to the same Maildir:

cannot login from some machines after upgrading from 2 to 3
Hi.
I've got a strange issue here. Some time ago (in march ;) I upgraded my
FreeBSD-6.0 Samba 2.2 to 3.0 (currently 3.0.24). After creating groupmaps
and doing all the other upgrade tasks, everything seemed to be alright.
However, it was not possible to login from some machines (getting error for
the wrong password). After disjoining and rejoining domain with these
machines, it was possible

I also know that there are several packages that will do this, but I wish
to do it using base R functions only (see below).

Using People for Machine accounts
Using Samba 3.0.2pre1 under SuSE 8.2.
I have seen several references now in this list noting that the browse
for machine accounts in Samba 3 is broken, and 'People' should be used
instead. I changed smb.conf to 'ldp machine suffix = ou=People' and I
changed smbldap_conf.pm to '$computersou=(People). I then cleared ldap,
ran smbldap-populate.pl, and changed the uid of

CentOS and orinoco silver with yenta socket
Hi
I have a fresh install or Centos 4.2 with a orinoco silver pcmicia
wireless card with a Yenta socket pci-pcmcia bridge.
Cent0S no found any device.
How I configure it ?
If I type:
modprobe yenta_socke
modprobe orinoco
These modules loads but not works.
(This card works with Slackware and Ubuntu with a default install)
Any help ?

Game "Silver" breaks silently
Hey there everybody!
I just wanted to try a game (some kind of ancient ;) ) called silver (by
ubisoft). The installation runs like a charm, but the game breaks
silently. If i run it with winedbg i get

VOIPTalk silver service
There was some discussion on this list recently about the voiptalk silver
service. I've just had an e-mail from them saying that the price has been
reduced to 2.99 per month. However, they still only provide an 0870 number
whereas pipecall provide a local call rate 0845 number in the fee.

for() loop only needed the <- assignment, but your comment is important to
note. However, I didn't like the for() loop either; I *much* preferred your
Reduce() solution which is exactly the sort of elegant

I thought of that, too, but it violates the spirit of my restraints (to
avoid character strings), which I unfortunately did not clearly articulate.
So my apologies for that failure. My concern is that with more complex
model formula, using as.formula, etc. to parse/convert character strings
can get a bit hairy. But in most cases, as here maybe, it may be perfectly
fine. So think of

Machine accounts searching People
Using Samba 3.0.1 as PDC with LDAP backend under SuSE 8.2.
When I try to add a machine account at my windows NT workstation using
user 'root' and password, - which I have added to ldap using:
smbldap-useradd.pl -a root -u 0
I get message on NT 'The machine account for this computer either does not
exist or is inaccessible'. The /var/log/messages show that the machine

Bitmap cursor on game Silver by Infogrames
Hi all,
I'm trying to execute a game named Silver, by Infogrames of +/- 1998...
But I find an opposite to continue: The cursor (bitmap cursor I think) don't cover all the screen, I need to move the window of my game to continue... :-(
I search and find something in www but nothing to solve the problem.

Thus far, my own aesthetic preference -- and therefore not to be considered
in any sense as a "best" approach -- is to use Duncan's suggestion to
produce the call directly with call() rather than substitute in my simple
for() loop; i.e.

I am confused. Richard's answer that Bert did not like did not use parse explicitly. Richard pasted together a string that a function like lm() will have to parse to run the analysis. However, the answers so far do not use parse(). In the reply to Richard, Bert indicated we cannot use strings. wine rc2 regression : Silver
It started in wine rc1 played with minor issues and craps out at some point in the game, now it doesn't work at all.
