Mapping the Domain Administrator Account to the Local root User
Hello, recently I've "updated" an AD member file server to an up-to-date Debian 12, following the wiki page Setting_up_Samba_as_a_Domain_Member. Some years ago I did the same with a Debian 10 VM, of which I used the data disks in the new fileserver. It uses the "rid" backend, acl and is configured via RSAT tools. Either I didn't follow the wiki page in the

UPP schedule and progress
Hello everybody, so, here's the summary of my progress (note that it also includes a few items to discuss, so I'm cc-ing this to nut-upsdev as well). I. The planning: 1/ libnutconf: The core (i.e. config. classes and their (de)serialisers) is coded, UT in progress. Signalisation shall follow; I have a couple of practical thoughts & comments to this, see below. In general, I'd like to have libnutconf core UT-ed this week and the signal handling coded at the very least. This would mean that the last implementation point of the library (driver inst. update) would be c...

Mapping the Domain Administrator Account to the Local root User
Looks like your root mapping isn?t working. Did you add "min domain uid = 0? to smb.conf ? Mapping the Domain Administrator Account to the Local root User
The user rights I've granted, but this "min domain uid = 0? parameter seems to be important and is not documented in the Samba wiki. After adding it I can access the files and administrate the fileserver as wanted. libnutconf: An overview
...Emilien has UT for the parser if I'm not much mistaken and I've written a basic UT for the nutstream module, but that's it for now). UTs for libnutconf are next on my list, they should be available later this week. There are 2 more functionalities in the specifications for the library: signalisation support and also support for drivers restart on configuration changes. These will be addressed right after the core UTs (although note that there shall be some more consideration/discussion on this topic I guess, in the very near future). By the beginning of the next year, the library shall be use...

Send flash through zap channel
Hi everyone, our setup includes a NEC PBX connected to our asterisk via bri lines. The NEC has a doorphone feature, which is just an extension that calls you when someone rings. When connected to this extensions, a 'flash' signalling opens the door. So now, i'd like to trigger this from asterisk, too, but unfortunately wasn't able to do so. Setup: asterisk

[RFC/PATCH 00/15] kvm on big iron
This patch series introduces a backend for kvm to run on IBM System z machines that uses the mainframe's sie virtualization capability. This work runs 64bit guests on z800/z890/z900/z990/z9/z10 class machines with a 64bit linux host. Userspace will follow once we're done brushing it over. The patch queue consists of the following patches, which can be applied in sequence on top of kvm.git
