Ogg Theora: Some questions on codec interna
...and decode them synchronously - the "problem" is that the depth stream needs to be compressed on wavelet basis, in DCT it looks pretty awful according to research (but I would still test it). Also, a working colleague of mine has recently presented High Definition Range Video Encoding on SIGGRAPH, see http://www.mpi-sb.mpg.de/resources/hdrvideo/index.html and he is looking for video format that is capable of encoding 12 bits. Both of us are prepared to hack a bit inside the core of the encoder if that is necessary and we get some code (_not_ coding ;) ) ) guidance from the Theora developer...

[LLVMdev] Suggestions for LLVM Developer's Conference 2012
...by companies!) There are so many large and small companies involved that it has become hard for them to stand out. Booths will give all of them a way to show what they are doing, and get feedback on it. It works fabulously well for some of the top CS conferences, like Supercomputing (now SC) and SIGGRAPH. If done carefully, they can generate significant revenue instead of becoming a drain. In fact, the SC industry booths have been a major money maker for ACM SIGARCH in the past. Booths also get attendees lots of goodies -- and who would ever say no to free t-shirt or mouse pad? 5. Have a few se...

4. Rexcel (Luis Felipe Parra)-how to run a code from excel
...namely point emitters as your organisms and a uniform concsntration of transparent scatters ( the fog) you can probably derive geometrical optics expressions for the ray trace results and just integrate those over your source distribution. This should be reasonably easy in R. I haven't been to siggraph since 1983 so can't help much but you can probably find analyitcal solutions for fog on google and just sum up your source distribution. I guess you could even do some wave optics etc as presumably the fog could be done as a function of wavelength just as easily. In any case, if you only have...
