fraud advice
Hi, Embarrassed as I am to write this, I am hoping for some advice. One of our very first PBX installs, now six years old, was "taken advantage of" over the past few weeks. A victim of sipvicious, I assume, that managed to guess one of the SIP passwords. 4000 calls to various middle eastern destinations have been placed, which ended up being sent over our customer's PSTN

VoipJet Terms of Service
...dertake any action . . . that would harm VoipJet . . . in any way, including financially." So, if I got crappy service from VoipJet and blogged about it, and thus cost them business, even if the NDA didn't get to me, this would, even if my account was completely accurate. How sickening. * I'm also wondering about "this is not a service for end users". How does one assert that one is not an end user? Is the ability to setup and configure asterisk to use VoipJet proof in itself, or is there some other proof necessary? Thoughts? Because of all this, I...

I've noticed many people manually entering .. [[User:*|*]] on the talk pages to sign their contributions.. Just a friendly note that "--~~~~" is shorthand for your signature w/ timestamp. I just recently learned that, myself. In addition, I'd like to say how awesome our little community of hackers have been oven the past week. IRC, email, the lists, and the wiki have

As i am saying.. basically watching the way this is happening, after posting a 'request' has made me sicken of ever posting any problems ever again to you. i find the unprofessionalism , about a silly avaar, ridiculous considering one person managed to say that, and 10 others in Private (yes PM! amazing thing that) , they had atlest p[ositive things to say. yes people make accidents, i have a busy life,...

Frequent reboots...
Hello, I am having a problem with a new server running FreeBSD 4.9-PRERELEASE. Once every two days or so, it reboots itself.. there is no exact time of the day it reboots.. It rebooted itself at 4:25 PM EDT on 9/25, and 3:05 AM EDT on 9/29 (today). I thought it's the bad memory or some sort, so I've been running memtest today and memtest reports no sign of trouble with the memory...

ZFS Performance as a function of Disk Slice
First Post! Sorry, I had to get that out of the way to break the ice... I was wondering if it makes sense to zone ZFS pools by disk slice, and if it makes a difference with RAIDZ. As I''m sure we''re all aware, the end of a drive is half as fast as the beginning ([i]where the zoning stipulates that the physical outside is the beginning and going towards the spindle increases hex

While it may seem ?counter-intuitive? this macrocosmic ?spare the rod spoil the Universe? gives us a very unique tool to see societal and systemic problems that otherwise might have gone unnoticed or neglected for sickeningly long lengths of time ? here we have the opportunity to use these negative spotlights on weaknesses to quickly see, analyze and correct these ?overlooked problems.? A number of the issues are at the forefront of the news, problems with terrorism, weapons of mass destruction, and the very ?lit?...
