smbd 100% systemload
hi,
i've a debian sarge setup with samba 3.0.10 with ldap as SAM backend. every
thing used to work as expected, but last week the machine went down. an
analysis of the problem has showen, that with increasing uptime there is a
growing number of smbd processes that caus 100% CPU utilation. tests have
showen, that i can kill these processes without harming smb conecctivtiy.
this is a workaround but no soulution.
i've absolutely no idea what causes this and what i can/should d...

And with that, can we please put an end to this thread (and patchset)?

nmbd keeping old data
...empt to see the correct
date and still saw the old date. And, as mentioned above, the incorrect date
still shows up after touching both the file and the containing directory.
Now after rebooting they would get the new contents if they opened the file.
And people who have made the registry change as showen in that Microsoft
article will usually get the correct new contents. The incorrect date will
eventually clear, but it may take 4 or 5 hours for that to happen.

possible bug: edge rails, nested resources and images
Im trying to show images in my restful application and have finally
found what appears to be the source of the problem.
When i have the products resource nested in categories as showen below
in the first routes file i can see the categories index (/categories).
When i add the images to the products resource map as shown in routes 2
i get the error:
image_url failed to generate from {:controller=>"images",

Problem after system hang and reboot
...owing problem:
The data disk /dev/hde1 is formatted as ext3. Obviously one of the inodes is
bad and we get a lot of lines:
Truncating prphaned inode 8863987 (uid=0, gid=0, mode=0100644, size=742)
when running fsck.
These lines have always the same values (inode, mode, ... are equal) and ar
enow showen for about 4 hours. (Yes, always the same line.)
Is this ok or does this mean, that fsck is unable to delete this inode?
Thanks,
Jan

Press 9 to dial by name
Hi all. I am new to the list and new to asterisk. I have asterisk
installed and running. I am using it as a voicemail server only.
What I would like to do is send users to a general mailbox that will
be addressed as <companyname>@asterisk and give them the option to
wait for the tone and leave a message, or press 9 to dial by name.
My questions are:
1. What is the best way to do

Naming join models
I''ve been playing around with EdgeRails and checking out some of the
new features. The one that will probably have the biggest affect on
my designs is join models (or :through associations). For those not
familiar with this feature, it lets you replace your habtm
association with a pair of has_many associations indirected through
an intermediate model class.
Looks like good
