dtracing a forked process OR dynamic library
Hi, I am tracking down a problem and would like to know how I can follow a forked process with my dtrace script, or how I can trace a dynamic library. Here is the problem. I am tracing dtlogin, and specifically I am trying to determine what error libpkcs11`<routine> is returning. It turns out dtlogin forks a lot of processes, and I believe the second forked process is the one that winds

bridge interfaces in dom0
Hi. I have another question, hopefully easier than my last: Do all physical interfaces in dom0 need to have an IP addresse in order to be used as a bridge by guest domains? I thought that the interface would have to merely be "up" but not necessarily have an IP address configured since bridging is done at layer 2. But alas, if I don''t configure an IP address on dom0 the bridge

Samba 3.6.3 on Ubuntu Server 12.04 Server Problem (Urgent)
I upgraded a machine that had been configured as a PDC running Ubuntu Server 11.04 (and whatever version of Samba was default in July 2011) to the new Ubuntu 12.04 Server LTS, which has Samba 3.6.3 (I did a fresh install). I restored the existing samba configuration file (smb.conf), and re-created the user accounts (both adduser and smbpasswd). The PDC serves roaming profiles to user on Windows
