Client saw something shiney -- Fonality HUD
An Elastix client saw a Fonality HUD demo and fell in love. I'm not a fan of Fonality as a company, but what do you think of HUD? 1) Does it bring real value? 2) Do I have alternatives? -- Thanks in advance, ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Steve Edwards sedwards at sedwards.com Voice: +1-760-468-3867 PST Newline

megaraid problem
...he LSI LOGIC 4CH PERC but my RAID5 still doesn't get recognised. Had the same problem 2 years ago with FC3 wich was due to the megaraid module wich got obsolete in the 2.6 kernel but somebody filed a bug and a driver disk was provided to solve this percy problem. Also tried installing the new shiney Ubuntu Dapper server release, but the install also suffered from the same problem. Could someone provide a loadable driver disk for centos? kind regards, GB -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... [XCP] new version available
[previously posted to xen-devel@ and xen-api@ but this might be of interest to xen-users@ too] Hi, I''ve refreshed the Xen Cloud Platform (XCP) .isos on xen.org with a new development snapshot (labelled version 0.1.1). XCP is a collaborative effort to build a complete cloud infrastructure platform, complete with a powerful management stack, standards-based APIs, support for multi-tenancy

Integrating with Toshiba Strata DK40i KSU
We've done a direct swap of an old Amanda voicemail system with a shiney new Asterisk system (Asterisk 1.0.9). The system consists of 4 FXO ports on the * box (TDM400P), and three old Wildcards we aren't using (too buggy we found). CO lines-> Toshiba -> FXO ports on * We want to branch out a little more and use it as an auto-attendant. The first problem...

Merbivore.com - Mockups
There''s been some discussion on the IRC channel about getting a site for Merb going. Since the culture around the project is pretty casual, I figured I''d just throw a few ideas together, see what you guys think. So, firstly here are three example pages, just to show off the general look and feel. http://mr-eel.com/tmp/merb/01_frontpage.gif

[Bridge] Unexpected behaviour
...bian testing with three NICs in it. eth0 is a standard 100Mb Intel NIC, eth1 and eth2 are both Intel gigabit cards using the e1000 driver. I tested everything at 100Mb and it worked fine. I moved the machine into production, eth1 plugging into a dumb 100Mb D-link switch, eth2 plugging into a shiney new Cisco 2950. eth2 connects fine, giving me messages such as: Apr 18 13:58:39 portcullis kernel: e1000: eth2: e1000_watchdog: NIC Link is Down Apr 18 13:58:56 portcullis kernel: e1000: eth2: e1000_watchdog: NIC Link is Up 100 Mbps Full Duplex Apr 18 13:58:56 portcullis kernel: br0: port 2(eth...

Problems 'make'ing on Solaris 9.
...xpected_packet': unexpected.c:(.text+0x1a0): undefined reference to `tdb_store' -- snip -- and so on. Is anyone out there more experienced with compiling OSS stuff on Solaris/SPARC willing to help with this build? We were running 3.0.25b happily, until a recent reboot when we discovered our shiney new Windows 2008 domain controllers don't play nicely with that version. Now trying to get our production server back online with a newer version. Regards, Collin Baillie

Dynamic menus
What is the preferred or standard method to create dynamic dhtml menus from a database. I have an application that will need some shiney menus but I don''t really want to write it all out by hand unless I have to. What do you guys like to use when you have a (fairly) complex menu to create? Thanks Matt --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google...

ZPool and Filesystem Sizing - Best Practices?
...itations make any sense in a zfs world? 2. What is the ''logical corruption boundry'' for a zfs system - the filesystem or the zpool? 3. Are there scenarios apart from latency sensitive applications (e.g. Oracle logs) that warrant separate zpools? One of our first uses for our shiney new server is to hold about 5TB of data which logically belongs on one share/mount, but has historically been partitioned up into 500GB pieces. The owner of the data is keen to see it available in one place, and we (as the infrastructure team) are debating whether it''s a sensible thing...

Asterisk and 4G
Hello, I've started to do some research into the new 4G wireless standard, and there's one part of the standard that intrigues me. Apparently all data is packet based, including the phone calls. Every phone will have its own IPv6 address. This seems to pave the way for a call to go directly from a cell phone to a soft PBX like Asterisk. Is this possible under the 4G spec? If

Ambisonics und OggPCM
...roval to release a codec which uses Ogg, if Xiph were to make a decidion otherwise it'd have a chilling effect on further 3rd party contributions to the Ogg framework from outside Xiph. Your disrespect for myself and my contributions have led to this. Just because I suddenly have something shiney that interests you doesn't give you the right to scream "pretty - mine - you too stupid to have" and snatch it. It's theft, blatently so, and you can be damned sure I'm going to be vocal about it even if I don't have enough interest to take it to court. What that lead...

(no subject)
Hi, I'm trying to decide between doing a FA or PCA and would appreciate some pointers. I've got a questionnaire with latent items which the participants answered on a Likert scale, and all I want to do at this point is to explore the data and extract a number of factors/components. Would FA or PCA be most appropriate in this case? Cheers, Hannah -- View this message in context:
