Polycom phones and ring no answer/302 Moved Temporarily
...ually goes to voicemail. Watching with Wireshark, I never see a 302 SIP message issued. I can't find anything in the phone settings that look like it would disable this. Anyone else with a Polycom set that sees this, or does not see this and has "forward no answer" working? Justin Sherrill - American Rock Salt P: 585-991-6825 F: 585-991-6925 C: 585-298-6826

Really, really loud ringers
...tter. The old phone system here had some huge loudspeakers that someone had wired right into the speakers of the old digital phones. I haven't figured out yet if they need a different voltage, or even if they still work; they were not responding when I replaced the attached phones. Justin C. ...ccasionally restart itself. My hunch is that it is in part memory pressure. I can't add RAM and have it help, because it's 32-bit. I intend to move to a 64-bit machine, but I was hoping to wait until summer. Does anyone have any immediate tips for dealing with this sort of rush? Using bold font with bquote
I'm trying to annotate a density plot and I'm using bquote to paste the sigma symbol next to the numeric text of the standard deviation calculation that I am performing. I have been able to successfully turn the sigma symbol and numeric output the color blue, but when I try to change the font of the text to bold, R doesn't seem to recognize the "font=" command in the same way

Is Asterisk a Linux only system?
I know that it runs on other systems but do other ports get the same attention? I have been running it on a NetBSD server for about a year now and while it mostly works it just crashes from time to time with no explanation or core dump. I have improved the situation by expanding my intrusion detection but it still stops every few days or so. I have a cron job that tests for it and restarts it

locate substring in the string it belong to
Hi R users, I am trying generate the indices for locating a in the string it come from. Given the length of the string, it will take too long using the combn() for further comparison. I am wondering if R has any built-in function for this purpose. To make it concrete: this.substring="cc" this.string="ccc" start.location=1,2 end.location=2,3 Thanks in advance, Kevin

Help with output height
Hello everyone I have a problem using the R console. I have written 2000 lines in a notepad, this lines are commands for reading dbf files. When I paste these lines in the R console I can only visualize the end of the output, this is because the R console has a default number of rows which is small for this task. I need to expand the lines that I can see, because I want to know if R found problems

DTMF tones too long, for once
...as long as you have your finger on the key. I see plenty of posts out there on increasing tone length, but nothing on reducing it. There may be other issues; I've called the number a few times when testing and received a voicemail prompt instead of their main message, a few times. Justin C. inserting into data frame gives "invalid factor level, NAs generated"
I am calculating some values that I am inserting into a data frame. From what I have read, creating the dataframe ahead of time is more efficient, since rbind (so far the only solution I have found to appending to a data frame) is not very fast. What I am doing is the following: # create data frame goframe = data.frame(goA = character(10), goB = character(10), value = numeric(10)) goframe[1,] =

I can successfully use the text command to paste "StDev =",round(sd(Data),digits=3)) on the plot. However, I have trouble when I want to replace "StDev" with the Greek symbol sigma (See code

Prevent sequential repeated values in data frame column
Hi, I'm trying to randomize a sequence of trials for an experimental design. The trials consist of values for each of two factors. As is there are 30 combinations of the two factors, and I want them to be ordered randomly but with the requirement that for one of the factors, the value can never be the same as the previous value. I'm currently randomizing my dataframe by using:
