[PATCH] fix issues from latest commits
hi,
attacched a couple of patches that fix:
- a variable may be used unitialized in swfdec_audio_decoder.c
- swfdec_init.c got referenced in swfdec/Makefile.am but it's not in
git, i've removed it but maybe the right fix is to add it instead
Still not able to compile swfdec (shadow warnings), will follow other
patches if you don't beat me to it.
cheers,

Shadow Copy2 & zfs Snapshots
Hi there
I'm having some troubles with Shadow Copy2 & zfs Snapshots. I have
hourly and daily snapshots. If I use the following settings it works
(but omits daily snapshots):
vfs objects = shadow_copy2
shadow:snapdir = .zfs/snapshot
shadow:sort = desc
shadow:localtime = yes
shadow:format = easysnap-hourly_%Y-%m-%d-%H-%M-UTC
However when I try to use the BRE with the prefix,

vfs_shadow_copy2 with snapprefix & delimiter options in samba 4.6.2
Hello Dear Samba Users,
I have sucessfully set a samba share on a centos 7 box (samba 4.6.2) and
succeeded into make work snapshots (vfs_shadow_copy2 with xfs and lvm).
The snapshots appears well in windows previous versions.
However, I expected to go further with snapshots and use the options
"shadow:snapprefix" and "shadow:delimiter"in order to filter daily,

Sama + Windows Shadow Copies
Hello,
i installed zfs-auto-snapshot with Samba/Windows Shadow Copy. If the
share contains "path = /srv/userdata/" it runs for me. But if I use
"path = /srv/userdata/%U" I get no "Previous Versions" on my Win10 Client.
I think the problem is the variable "shadow: snapdir = .zfs/snapshot". I
tried with "shadow: snapdir = ../.zfs/snapshot" and

I tried also passwd authentication method, but its symptoms are the very same.

AW: Clocksources and other mysteries
It''s everytime when cpufreq_ondemand or cpufreq-set changes the frequency, aprox. 3 messages per event.
Is that occasional? I tend to say: no. Please see an excerpt below. And if it''s not occasional, what
could I do? And by the way: I found no code that TSC will get adjusted, so I think it will get worse
over the time...
Thanks, Carsten.

vfs_shadow_copy2 not working
So I'm trying to get shadow copies to work with Windows clients. The snapshots are being stored at /test/.zfs/snapshot
The snapshots are being named like so:
autosnap_2019-08-10_21:00:00_frequently
autosnap_2019-08-10_21:00:00_monthly
autosnap_2019-08-10_22:00:00_hourly
This is in my smb.conf:
[test]
vfs objects = shadow_copy2
shadow:snapdir = /test/.zfs/snapshot
shadow:snapprefix =

POP3 Dictionary Attack Causes Complete Dovecot Failure Without Notice
Hi,
Whenever my Dovecot installation is POP3-dictionary-attacked, a large
number of log entries written to /var/log/local0 from the syslog showing
all the POP3 login and shadow lookup failures is produced and then the
entire Dovecot installation crashes, master and all. Unfortunately, it
was running unattended under normal use, is apparently quite hard to
reproduce (I wrote a Tcl script

[RFC] ASan: patches to support 32-byte shadow granularity
I've prepared a preliminary set of patches that makes ASan work with
32-byte shadow granularity, and I would like to get some feedback on
those patches as well as my general plan.
Some background: I am porting ASan to the Myriad platform. I'm
looking to break up that port into components that may be
useful/relevant to other platforms -- the first of those pieces is the
ability to use a

Hi Jeremy,
Here's the log with log level 10: https://pastebin.com/0EAuz2B8

Dovecot unable to access the shadow file
I am installing Dovecot-2.1.13 on Slackware 13.37.0 for the first time to
replace ipop3d and I have overcome all of the roadblocks as they have
developed except this last one and I finally have to say ?uncle?.
The error messages that are showing up in the dovecot.log are as follows.

I'm using an alternate password/shadow combo to authenticate IMAP users
and I can't seen to get it working...
I'm using:

args = /etc/dovecot/shadow
}
Can somebody please give me some hints on how to get this to work....
Thanks

[PATCH v2 13/18] drm/qxl: use shadow bo directly
Pass the shadow bo to qxl_io_create_primary() instead of expecting
qxl_io_create_primary to check bo->shadow. Set is_primary flag on the
shadow bo. Move the is_primary tracking into qxl_io_create_primary()
and qxl_io_destroy_primary() functions.
That simplifies primary surface tracking and the workflow in
qxl_primary_atomic_update().
