run scripts on samba server
Hi all,
I have a network with Win95 clients and a samba-server 1.9.18p3 on Linux 2.033. Linux is only used as serversystem, clientusers are nonfamiliar with Linux.
Sometimes it would be usefull, to start a program or script on the server from the client. This can be done via telnet, but I'd like to know if there is some sort of call implemented in samba to start a script on the server without login into Linux. Bef...

Client Profile mistake
Hello,
after our harwarechrash we had to change the serversystem to another
hardware.
I copied all necessary samba files (I hope I did) to the new hardware and
restarted Samba.
Now when I try to log on the domain the client ist no longer trusted by
the domain.
When I add the client to the domain to solve these problem, I get an new
profile after login.

Zum besseren Verst?ndnis der Hintergrund.
nachdem ich vor vielen jahren Pathworks-Server durch ein OS/2-Serversystem
abgel?st habe,haben wir es auch noch geschafft, die n?chste
Evolutionsstufe bis jetzt herauszuziehen.
Wir nutzen File- und Printservices. Das ist alles. Die Anzahl der User
tendiert gegen 150. Wir sind an zwei Standorten, aber ?ber VPN vernetzt.
Die urspr?ngliche eigentliche Wunschvorstellung...
