CPU load 100% when SIP register
Hi, I'm running CVS-head for quite some time now, and util last saturday without serous problems. Last saturday however I updated * again, and now the cpu load goes to a 100%. It seems that the sip register is the problem. when I comment out all sip registers there is no problem, but enabling just one register the cpu goes skyhigh. I've seen there were some modifications to the ch...

Scripting Microsoft Office on Linux via Wine
I'm trying to figure out how to automate Microsoft Office to convert files on Linux. Can I use COM on Wine/Linux? If not, can any suggest ideas of how to script Microsoft Office on Wine?

..._sites.gc._msdcs.mydomain.local samba4.mydomain.local 3268 as _ldap._tcp.default-first-site-name._sites.gc._msdcs.mydomain.local. Strangely enough, when i ask with "host" i get correct answers. Like mentioned in the howto . Are these only some type of cosmetic errors, or will a run into serous problems if i move further on? regards #smb.conf: # Global parameters [global] server role = domain controller workgroup = SAMDOM realm = mydomain.local netbios name = SAMBA4 [netlogon] path = /usr/local/samba/var/locks/sysvol/mydomain.local/scripts...

Gantt chart problem after upgrade to R 2.4.0
I am having a problem with a gantt chart since moving to R2.4.0. from 2.3.1 I made some adaptations to the code from http://addictedtor.free.fr/graphiques/RGraphGallery.php?graph=74 and successful produced a simple gantt chart. However when I upgraded to 2.4.0 it no longer works as desired. See http://ca.geocities.com/jrkrideau/R/gantproblem.pdf for the two charts. The charts were produced

Authentication Problems
Hi List, We have a CentOS VPS running a web site in a DC far away. The chap that dev's this site told me he couldn't SFTP in yesterday, his password was being rejected (I went to his desk to confirm and saw it was telling him the password was incorrect but neither him nor me had changed it and we are the only two with access to this VPS). So I logged in as root and reset his password, be

Is there a difference ...?
Doh123, how is running a program off an NTFS partition asking for trouble? Ntfsprogs seems to handle it just fine. I know that NTFS doesn't let you mark a file as executable, and that the filesystem is susceptible to fragmentation, but you should just be able to tell it to run rather than display and be good. It shouldn't cause destruction. I think there might even be an NTFS defrag tool

...der 90 percent full. And shake defrag will work okish on it. I have had to use shake defrag from Linux on a ntfs drive that was that badly fragmented that windows defrag tools would not even attempt. > > But executable bit is not the only file system part Ntfsprogs is missing. There is a serous difference in mmap handling compared to ext2 ext3 or ext4 from the ntfs3g driver. These differences do cause failures in applications when on ntfs with wine that don't happen when on ext2 ext3 or ext4. So for us doing support we want tested on ext filesystems so we know if the issue you are s...
