Hey all, Just wanting to add my 2 cents here. I have a X/OS 4 Dev box running on a P3 550 and 512MB. Started getting this error when I upgraded the kernel to 2.6.9-42.0.10.EL.XOS. added the nmi_watchdog=0 to the grub boot line and all is fine now. A strange side effect seems to be the system load has dropped by 0.5 - 1.0 since the change. may only be noticable on my box because of the older arch

Hello, I have installed 2 *'s and i have connected both to E1, ISDN. Both are using EuroISDN. On both i use alaw. The distance in ping time for them is 3 ms. I use IAX and as a codec i use alaw on that connection. Now the problems are: 1. I get some crunches on the line, alot of them. 2. Sad to say one of my file servers was exploited and used to run a Phishing scam. Have identified subject virus amongst other things. It appears twice in a virus scan; /sbin/z (which I assume can just be deleted) and /sys/bus/serio/drivers/atkbd/description. The latter file is also present in identical uninfected machines. I have been unable to open the file, even with root privileges, although it appears to be a text file. Any suggestions on how to proceed appreciated. I just installed CentOS 4.2 x64 bit version. After installaton, the system boots but kernel panics with this message: Badness in i8042_panic_blink at drivers/input/serio/i8042.c:992 The kernel seems to load completely. It gets passed the point where it prompts to press "I" for interactive mode. Something after that probably caused a module to load that crashed the kernel. Any idea what to do to get around this?
