Increase data length for SMB2 write and read requests for Windows 10 clients
Hello Jeremy, > OH - that's *really* interesting ! I wonder how it is > changing the SMB3+ redirector to do this ? It looks like applications could do something and give a hint to SMB3+ redirector, so far not quite sure how to make it, per process monitor (procmon) could show that write I/O size seems could be pass from the application layers,

[Bug 1426] New: Inefficient command lookup on errors
...ath speedup patch When nft_netlink() encounters an error, it looks up the offending command in the command list, always starting from the list head. With long machine generated nftables containing errors, this can take a very long time, making an impression that nft locked up. Because the command seqnums in the command list are monotonic, and so are usually the error seqnums, this performance issue can be easily mitigated by resetting the search position to the command list head only if the error seqnum decreases. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes. ---------...

Samba is still crashing
I have had a problem for a couple of weeks now. I get very regular crashes on two of my three Domain Controllers. I just updated to 4.1.0 and I am still getting the same problem. I have added panic action = /bin/sleep 99999 to my config. Here is a back trace for the crash. (gdb) bt #0 0x003c3424 in __kernel_vsyscall () #1 0xb76fa363 in __waitpid_nocancel () at

Samba crash
Hi Amir, this is a known and fixed issue in Samba 3.6.6. It was known as Bug 9004 https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9004 and has been fixed by o Andreas Schneider <asn at samba.org> * BUG 8944 and 8567: Don't lookup the system user in pdb. Do you need a patch for 3.6.1? As far as I know (I would need to test it) with this patch Samba logs that the configured guest user

poor 2 node performance
Hi, I've been setting ocfs2 up on a two node 'cluster', using gnbd (network block device) to talk to a shared disk on a third node. build/install was very straightforward and I have the file system mounted on both nodes just fine. However, I've been rather disappointed by the performance: With just one node actively using the fs (but with the other mounted) I'm finding that

samba 4.1.3 -- multiple bugs & 1, 297 coredumps -- coredump backtrace + full-backtrace included
Hello, A few months ago the distribution I use (Debian Testing) moved from Samba 3 to Samba 4 - I started seeing a lot of problems. Since then there are two bugs I find occurring on a regular basis: 1. Consistent dumping core on a regular basis (very rarely, if ever occurred with Samba 3) a. $ ls -ltr *core*smbd* |wc -l b. 1297 c. $ du -ach *core*smbd*|tail -n 1

Panic or segfault in Samba 3.6.1 - Debian testing
Since upgrading to 3.6.1 in Debian testing, I receive a panic/segfault message with each print job. Printing succeeds and continues to work, but an email with the info below is sent each time. The system is standalone. Kernel is 3.1.0-1-686-pae, and the system is fully updated. testparm returns no errors. Does this mean anything to anyone? Dale [Thread debugging using libthread_db

sequentially process a list
Hi dear R users, I'm a R beginner and I have a basic question about sequential treatments of lists. I have a time based (i.e. events are consecutive) list of values of a biological property. Like : time value 1 5 2 10 3 7 4 10 5 19 6 21 7 20 8 18 9 10 10 7 11 8 12 12 13 17 14 19 15 24 16 18 17 15 18

winbind and group permissions
Hello, I have spent the last week and a bit searching google and reading documentation trying to get this figured. At this point, I have read the same things so many times, I am not even sure I would notice the answer any more.... time to ask for some help. Having gone through what seems like hundreds of posts, I have begun to see where the problem gets lost in the information provided when

Winbind, Kerberos, SSH and Single Sign On
Hi, at first I'm not sure if this is the correct list to ask this question. But since I'm using winbind I hope you can help me. I try to realize a kerberized ssh from one client to another. Both clients are member of subdom2.subdom1.example.de and joined to it. The users are from example.de, where subdom1.example.de is a subdomain (bidirectional trust) of example.de and
