kernel deadlock
We have a reproducible problem with FreeBSD-4.7 which is apparently a
deadlock.
The system is undergoing a filesystem stress test.
The machine is pingable, but console and most other features are
unresponsive.
The console debugger can be accessed.
The following information is available with db's "ps".
I suspect the wchan of "inode" to be what everything is waiting on.

FreeBSD-Update + Sendmail
I have been updating my FreeBSD systems for many years by updating and
building from source. For the FreeBSD 9.2 cycle, I decided to use
freebsd-update for binary update instead. I use Sendmail + Cyrus-SASL and
the freebsd-update process only installed a 'bare bones' binary. How do I
compile just Sendmail from source so that it uses my /etc/make.conf for the
smtp_auth components?

Sendmail burst of "rejecting connections" - why?
What's the reason for the burst of sendmail complaints below?
My CentOS 4.3 server only handles internal mail for my small network.
It doesn't handle Internet mail at all, so I guess I can't blame a
crack attempt for this. IPTables rules should prevent external
connections to everything except SSH's port 22.
I've looked through the other logs hoping that some other activity

Dovecot 2.0.x + Sendmail 8.14.4 SMTP AUTH not working
Hello!
After moving from Centos 5.6 to Centos 6, I figured that Sendmail
minor version was updated from 8.13.x to 8.14 and Dovecto from 1.2 to
2.0.x
In previous configuration SMTP auth worked fine (no SASAUTHD
neccessary) for virtual users table. Dovecot was authenticating
virtual users virtual checking dovecot.passwd file. I'm not sure how
Sendmail was processing SMTP AUTH for virtual users

sendmail/RPM question
Hi all -
I've got a regular problem that i've been fixing by hand for a long time
but i'm hoping i can get some advice about the right way to solve it.
I replace the default redhat/centos sendmail configuration files with
my own set. I have always just done this by hand.
One thing I do is completely whack submit.cf.
when i update the system, RPM recreates this file.

Disable SSLv3 in sendmail in CentOS 5
RedHat released sendmail-8.13.8-10.el5_11.src.rpm which includes
sendmail-8.13.8-ssl-opts.patch which adds support for disabling SSLv3 and
SSLv2 in sendmail.cf
But as far as I can see there is no support in sendmail.mc - I can't see
how to compile sendmail.mc to get the required line ServerSSLOptions in
sendmail.cf
Does anyone know how to do this ?
