icmp latency question
Hi,
Our company''s main line is quite busy the whole day and my shaping is
working perfect, however even if I give icmp priority the pings still
jump around quite a bit.
We do have a backup line which hardly get used only if the main line
drops. I''ve set ip rule to route all icmp through that and now the
pings are perfect.
Will this make a difference for the game players etc,

Reg. getting codewords from codelengths
Hi,
I am a bit confused on how code-words are derived from the codeword
lengths. I will appreciate if someone can point me in the correct direction.
I will take the example of an actual codebook that i found in a valid
vorbis encoded file as shown below.
[SK] +------Codebook [0] --------
[SK] Codebook Dimensions = 1
[SK] Codebook Entries = 8
[SK] Unordered
[SK] 1, 6, 3, 7, 2, 5, 4, 7,
[SK] NO

Problems using chan_sebi and Huawei E169G
Hi,
Having seen the messages on the dev list a couple of weeks ago about chan_sebi I thought I would try to get it going on my system.
I am using 1.6.1.4 so I first upgraded the driver to work with 1.6. I think it is mostly correct and the bit I have wrong shouldn't be causing me the problems I am seeing. If your are interested my chan_sebi 1.4 to 1.6 patch is at http://www....

Balancing multiple connections and NAT
Hi,
I have a client connected to the ''net through 3 ISP''s. Have set up a
Linux box to do routing and load sharing for the 3 connections. A
fourth interface is connected to the LAN with private IP addresses.
Am using iptables to SNAT traffic to the appropriate IP depending on
the interface the packet gets routed onto. The setup looks something
like this:

Problem with printing, but sharing works
Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me here.
I have a linux server with Samba version 2.0.7 trying to talk to a Windows 98
client. I have everything set up, Windows sees the shares and printers I have
defined, but as soon as I click on the printer in the server's page from
network neighborhood it says "This network printer is currently offline. You
can install the printer

Public Folder for mailinglist with deliver
Hello Everybody,
I'm looking for a nice way to implement the following:
We are running a mail server for system users who are having their own
mailbox. Now there's the idea to subscribe for a few mailinglists which
are then available for the user per shared/public folder. So they can
simply subscribe and unsubscribe with their MUA. For every mailinglist
subscription there should exist an

Install Xapian-bindings-0.9.6 with MingW
I run ./configure but it failed. So my question is:
What tools do I need to be installed so the ./configure process to work?
Should I install PHP under MingW and MSYS so i can use PHP_CONFIG variable? (I have PHP installed under Windows Xp and there is no php-config tool.)
Shoud I install SWIG?
Thank you.
