san fibrechannel device in HVM domU
...gned to other domain
Without the pci parameter, the domU starts. The device is correctly hidden
from the dom0, and no other domU is running.
As I am on AMD, there is no VT-d, will this only work with Xen on new Intel
machines, or is there anything I can do to get this to work on AMD too?
cheers
Sebastian

file:
vif=[ ''mac=00:16:3e:6a:64:07,bridge=xenbr0'', ]
do I need to do any additional network configuration to allow communication
from domU do dom0?
Any more information I should provide?

strange xen memory calculations?
...45
I don''t understand why xend thinks it needs the memory, how is this
calculated? I also set dom0_min_mem to 0 to stop ballooning at all, but that
did not helped either.
I am on sles10sp1 x86_64, using xen-3.0.4, the version that comes with the
system.
any hint is highly appreciated.

xen 3.2 network problems
...I was able to communicate via eth0 and the vlan, then I
started xen, and the tcpdump on the vlan interface stopped seeing packets on
that interface. The eth0 was still working. On xen 3.0.4 and xen3.1. I had
no such problem with vlan interfaces, so is there anything I am missing?

pci passthrough
...the server, and
want to use pci passthrough to make it available to the domU nodes.
In case of a failover, two or more virtual nodes will run on the same dom0.
Will it work to share a physical device on more than one domU node, or will
the first one have an exclusive lock on it?
kind regards

maximum lun size of a disk in a domU
...em would only be able to use 3 TB of it. This is a limitation that comes
from vmware, and therefore has nothing to do with the capabilities of the
virtual operating system.
therefore I''m wondering whether there exists a similar limit for xen, and if
so, what is the limit.

Transport endpoint not connected after crash of one node

O2CB cluster ppscluster already online
Two questions:
1. shouldn't the still living machine recognize the dead of the other node
after 61 seconds=
2. shouldn't mounted.ocfs2 show the same locally mounted ocfs2 partitions as
mount -t ocfs2 does?

performance of pv drivers for windows
...writing it to disk, writing to nul. The same in the dom0, writing the file
to /dev/null gave me 112MB/s.
So I am wondering, what are the expected speed gains for the gplpv drivers?
Is the performance of the drivers bettter with different windows versions,
e.g. windows server 2003?
kind regards
Sebastian
