Rails Vs JBoss Seam
I have been frustrated with J2EE technology just like any other developer who has worked in that
technology for a long time. This made me learn about Rails and I was excited about RoR. Today I
came across JBoss Seam framework and I am not able to contain my excitement.
My passion for JEE development is back. It seems like it is better than RoR. I would like to hear
differnt opinions about this

openssh and SEAM (Kerberos)
I'm trying to get openssh to work with SEAM(Solaris
Enterprise Authentication Mechanism) on Solaris 9.
I have a few questions. Any help would be appreciated.
I am working with openssh 3.8.
1. First of all, does anyone know if it is possible
to get openssh working with SEAM?
2. Which options do i need to use when compiling
openssh? Do i need to use --with-kerberos5=kerbpath
or --with-pam

OpenSSH and Solaris SEAM/Kerberos
Greetings all,
I hope this is the right place to ask this question, if not please
redirect me. I'm compiling OpenSSH 4.3p2 on Solaris 9, and want to
compile with Kerberos5 support. However, since we are using Solaris
SEAM for Kerberos, I can't seem to specify "--with-kerberos5=PATH"
during configure because it doesn't look like SEAM's gssapi libraries
are all in

Any Rails users out there ever used Seam/Richfaces?
I know it''s completely off topic, but I am having such a hard time
with this that I thought maybe I might be able to get some answers
here.
I''m a Rails developer recently forced into a Java Seam/Richfaces
project. The presentation layer is so convoluted with stuff that it''s
virtually impossible for me to get the kind of presentation I want
without creating multiple XML

Is = now the same as <- in assigning values
I?m a PhD student at the University of Warsaw, and have started using R.
In many books they specify to use <- instead of = when assigning
values, and this is also mentioned in older posts on the R website.
However, it seams to me that some update has occured, becuase I
continously get the same result wether I use <- or =.
I would be extremely helpful for any answer to this.
= seams more

Re: Samba PDC and Kerberos(MIT or SEAM in Uinx, without microsoft ADS)
Hi, Thank you very much for you reply.
Some people think storing the sensitive information in the LDAP is not very
secure. They think the sensitive information and the public information should be
stored in seperate place. So we want the samba PDC authentication can integrete the
Kerberos authentication directly.

Hi, Andrew,
Thank you very much for your answer.
Now our case is as below:

3, We also want the samba as PDC for all windows user and machine.
4, We want integrate the Kerberos Authentication with samba authentication.
So in this situation, can we get the kerberos login from the windows

Re: Samba and Kerberos PDC(MIT or SEAM, without microsoft ADS)
Hi, Andrew,
Thank you very much. I have read some information about the samba PDC kerberos
authentication as below.

2.2.8pre1 smbclient log in problem
Hi all samba coders. Glad to see that you work to improve samba.
Here is a problem I would be very greatful if you could solve.
Certain international characters does not work as usernames when trying to log
in to an NT4 file server. My problem is that in Swedish versions of NT the
"Administrator" username is translated and reads "Administrat?r". It seams
that the

System seams slower with Xenified kernel and xend dies with SIG 15
Hello all,
I compiled the kernel with the xen patch and I seam to have trouble
with some kernel modules, like ATI''s proprietary driver. The system
seams considerably slower than
before, this might be because of the video drivers, or maybe the RAM
alocated to dom0 (512Mb instead of it''s usual 1Gb). When I try to run
xend, it dies with a SIG 15.
I attached the log file. Anyone

Re: Samba PDC and Kerberos(MIT or SEAM in Uinx, without microsoft ADS)
A few more questions and comments... related to this topic
If Kerberos is the back-end to LDAP.. there is no need to synchronize or store a password in the LDAP tree.. just the principal for the user in the userpassword attribute: userpassword = {kerberos}name@domain
in the smb.conf file do I need stuff like this?
Unix password sync = yes
passwd program =

OT: List of VoIP providers?
I have been looking around for VoIP providers but have not found a good
listing.
Is there no "yellow pages" for VoIP providers? Google mostly returns
services
like Vonage, Packet8, NuFone, ect. None seam to be very reseller
friendly and
none offer LNP or local DID's for my area. Anyone know of a list (even a
partial one)

That is correct. I did not mean sync between Kerberos and LDAP, I mean

Samba 2.2.3 Windows Printer Drivers definitions
Hi,
I have a question about the assignment of printer drivers
for windows
to my printers in printcap.
How do I configure a printer located in my printcap to be
recognised
by a windows pc as the right model?
Where is the mapping supposed to be saved?
I have RH 7.2, samba 2.2.3 and lprng running on a PPro 200
Compaq.
My intention is that it will serv as a queue server for
about 100 printers.

Xen pci passthru problems with kernel -164.6.1
I previously reported this on the centos mailing list:
http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos/2009-November/085672.html
And I've found out that Red Hat has backported the VT-d support from Xen
3.3 to RHEL 5.4.
http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos/2009-November/085677.html
It seams to me that the "classic" Xen pci-passthru (up to Xen 3.2) works
only on some minor cases as
