Well, Now that I've made it through the actual install, I figured I'ld take Baldur's Gate for a spin. The main screeen, where you select to play the game, change the configuration, etc, comes up fine. ...u guest it says there graphics card is a VESA compatible, and only has 600x400 and 800x600 screen resolutions. My domU config is shown below. I have stdvga=0 I searched the mailing lists, and it said stdvga=1 may offer more video modes, but if I do that, then the domU boots, but I just get a grey screeen with a mouse pointer. No actual desktop/login window etc. So I guess my question is, using HVM and display with VNC, is it normal to be able to get video modes above 800x600 screen resolution in guests? I frequently run scripts that generate multiple graphs. Unless you specify a specific window location, dev.new superimposes all new graphics windows exactly on top of each other. It would be nice to have a "cascade=TRUE" option in dev.new to prevent windows from being hidden. Hi the list, I used savePlot to export some eps graph but it seems that the graph file hold a bug. I include the graph.eps in a LaTeX file. Running latex is ok. But the dvi file contain some mistake, the graph overprint on some text and hide it. After trying again, unsuccessfully this time, to install the proprietary NVIDIA driver, I've decided to focus my efforts on the open source Nouveau driver. I've seen video drivers blamed for varying degrees of "freeze on resume" but I'm not certain that's what I'm up
