Guide to Using KVM
Hi all, Our CentOS Forum contributor, "scottro", has written a guide to using KVM with CentOS-5.1 and made it available at: http://home.nyc.rr.com/computertaijutsu/centoskvm.html He is offering it for us to put on the CentOS wiki. I would be happy to wikify it and welcome any comments and suggestions. The contents will be updated as he...

Fedora change that will probably affect RHEL
This might show up twice, I think I sent it from a bad address previously. If so, please accept my apologies. In Fedora 22, one developer (and only one) decided that if the password chosen during installation wasn't of sufficient strength, the install wouldn't continue. A bug was filed, and there was also a great deal of aggravation about it on the Fedora testing list. So, it was

So, probably some of you, at least, follow Fedora, perhaps in part to see what new desktop user oriented decision will make it into the next version of RHEL/CentOS. You may have noticed how if Fedora, by some odd scheme, deems your password unworthy, you have to click Done two times. So, the latest Ananconda takes this one step further. Passwords that the system considers weak will no longer

Article for wiki consideration
I've recently documented simple use of a VServer with CentOS host and guest. toracat@ said that it might be worthwhile putting on the wiki. The present article is located at http://home.nyc.rr.com/computertaijutsu/vserver.html If it does get to the wiki, I would remove the fedora section and also add a notice at the beginning of the article with dire warnings about using a non-stock kernel.

The first is "Don't use a palindrome" which makes me wonder if the author knows the meaning of this word. I suspect he/she thinks

Real sh? Or other efficient shell for non-interactive scripts
It was the mid/late-90s, but I seem to recall Bourne being the default shell, although sh/ksh/csh were all available with a typical install.
