CONFIG_ARPD turned on in centosplus kernel.
Alan& Akemi,
Would it be possible to get CONFIG_ARPD turned on in the
centosplus 6.x kernel? It is required to use opennhrp.
See the link below where is was decided to turn it on in Fedora.

Some quick googles only turned up articles about RHEL on Dell Laptops
in 2012 - nothing with RHEL seems to be current only with Ubuntu 14.04 .

createrepo command for 6.4 respin
Hi List,
I have been searching for the correct createrepo command to make a 6.4 respin.
We have been doing this with previous versions using
createrepo -u "media://$discinfo" -g ${DIR}/my_kickstart${VER}/comps.xml .
Which had worked fine until now.
Thanks,

sudo doing DNS lookup
Hi,
I have a confusing problem. I have two centos 5,5 boxes. Both have
sudo.i386 1.7.2p1-9.el5_5
installed
I am using the same sudoers file, but the one on box A keeps trying to
do DNS lookups
while the one on box B does not. How do I disable this DNS lookup?
Thanks for any info.

Usually works fine, but try with livecd, if possible in shop?
Thinkpads usually work fine with Linux too.

Why is asterisk's voice mail called comedian.
Hi list,

Laptop for CentOS
Hello,
Has anyone used the Dell M3800 (ubuntu) laptop to run CentOS 6.x? If so how did it work out?
Also does anyone have a fairly new laptop they are running CentOS 6.x on, that they are happy
about? I am in the market for a new laptop and it must run CentOS 6.x.
Thanks,

I did a bunch of testing of Raw, qcow2, and LV backed VM storage circa
Fedora 19/20 and found very little difference. What mattered

centos email server suddenly much slower. What to do?
Greetings,
I run my own email server for some domains I administer, on a centos
vps server with a very small number of users.
The only services are smtp, imap/pop, webmail
Everything was running without problems until this morning. I left
home for 1/2 hours, and when I came back everything had become about
100x slower (seriously!). The services were/are still all up and
running, but practically

kernel.org kernel in CentOS respin.
Hello List,
I found these wonderful instruction by Alan Bartlett (thanks Alan) for
building a kernel.org kernel
that would install on CentOS 5.5. Doing this and moving the resulting .rpm
to the target system and doing a rpm -ivh ... works great.
Now I am trying to use the same rpm as part of a CentOS respin and
the installation fails miserably leaving me with a unbootable system.

Not receiving mail
I have installed Postfix, Dovecot, and Squirrelmail on a CentOS 5.5
machine. In Squirrelmail a user can send mail, but he is not receiving
replies. There is nothing relevant in the maillog other than the
user's (successful) login attempts. I am at loss, I have been
following tutorials such as the Perfect Server [1] series and other
Google results, but I cannot get this thing to receive mail.
