mapping column names in legacy schemata
I have a legacy MySQL database with a weird naming convention - all
table and column
names have a prefix ''_'' , which is annoying, and some of the column
names are misnomers.
I would like to apply a pre-defined mapping between MySQL column names
and method
names to be used in the Ruby class, without having the original column
names being visible anymore.

ActiveRecord: mapping column names when using legacy schemata

Parameter "idmap backend" is deprecated ???
Hi,
why is this parameter deprecated ?
I have to set this parameter if i want to get my user/group information
from Active Directory with SFU AD schemata extension.
Is there a new parameter instead of "idmap backend" ???

Multiple email addresses for user accounts
Hello to all,
how can I have multiple email addresses / aliases for an account? I can
only set one address with samba-tool's mail-address (mail is a single
value attribute) and mailAternativeAddress is not found in the schemata.
Best regards

[RFC] Abstract Parallel IR Optimizations
This is an RFC to add analyses and transformation passes into LLVM to
optimize programs based on an abstract notion of a parallel region.
== this is _not_ a proposal to add a new encoding of parallelism ==
We currently perform poorly when it comes to optimizations for parallel
codes. In fact, parallelizing your loops might actually prevent various
optimizations that would have been applied

Solr -> Xapian ?
I hope you are aware that "linking with Xapian" requires somewhat more work than just -lxapian in linker? If you or someone feels like writing fts_xapian, go for it.

Solr -> Xapian ?
A starting point would be to have a look at the current FTS plugins:

What's the current status of the LDAP integration?
Hello
Note long ago, we have writtten an LDAP-administration tool to integrate
several linux-services such as mail-routing, authentification throug pam to
the ldap server, AND AN SAMBA INTEGRATION. This solution (GPL) is based on
the OpenLDAP-Version 1.2. Newer enquiries shows us that with the
release-change of the openldap has made some changes by the use of the

Setting up Samba-LDAP for 3.0a on Mandrake 9.1
I could use some help figureing out what specifically the differences
are between Samba 3.0a and 2.2.X in regards to LDAP. Partucularly when
it comes to the schemata. After I've got it figured out I will see that
the MandrakeSecure HOWTOs are updated to include this info to help
Mandrake users who want to try a Samba 3.0 DC. Note that as yet the
beta version is not available in an RPM

Strange Roaming Profiles problem
Hi experts,
I encounter a serious problem using Roaming Profiles unter XP Prof. I don't
know if this is realy a Samba issue, mybe someone has already solved the
same problem. I am running Samba 2.2.5 as an PDC using LDAP.
The first time I log on with user "tom", all looks perfect and a profile is
downloaded from the Samba PDC, say into D:\Documents and Settings\tom. Then

Connecting to multiple databases with multiple database users
Hi everyone,
I was wondering what the common practice for handling multiple db
users with fine grained privileges on multiple databases is. Against
the often read guideline for rails users to keep with a single db as
"more dbs don''t really make sense anyway", my opinion is that it DOES
make sense to use more than one db schema for a number of reasons that
I won''t

rake test_units not loading any fixtures
Hello All,
If I run my unit tests individually using Ruby, they all work correctly.
However, if I try to run them using "rake test_units", I get a bunch of
error messages.
The error messages appear to be caused by rake not loading any of the
fixtures into the test database.
I am using PostgreSQL on Windows.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Many thanks,
Bruce.
