mapping column names in legacy schemata
I have a legacy MySQL database with a weird naming convention - all
table and column
names have a prefix ''_'' , which is annoying, and some of the column
names are misnomers.
I would like to apply a pre-defined mapping between MySQL column names
and method
names to be used in the Ruby class, without having the original column
names being visible anymore.

Parameter "idmap backend" is deprecated ???
Hi,
why is this parameter deprecated ?
I have to set this parameter if i want to get my user/group information
from Active Directory with SFU AD schemata extension.
Is there a new parameter instead of "idmap backend" ???

Isn't 'mailAlternativeAddress' an LDAP attribute ?
I think you use the 'otherMailbox' attribute on AD.

Multiple email addresses for user accounts
Hello to all,
how can I have multiple email addresses / aliases for an account? I can
only set one address with samba-tool's mail-address (mail is a single
value attribute) and mailAternativeAddress is not found in the schemata.
Best regards

[RFC] Abstract Parallel IR Optimizations
......).
Our proposal seeks to introduce parallelism specific optimizations for
multiple representations while minimizing the implementation overhead.
This is done through an abstract notion of a parallel region which hides
the actual representation from the analysis and optimization passes. In
the schemata below, our current five optimizations (described in detail
here [0]) are shown on the left, the abstract parallel IR interface is
is in the middle, and the representation specific implementations is on
the right.

What's the current status of the LDAP integration?
...o integrate
several linux-services such as mail-routing, authentification throug pam to
the ldap server, AND AN SAMBA INTEGRATION. This solution (GPL) is based on
the OpenLDAP-Version 1.2. Newer enquiries shows us that with the
release-change of the openldap has made some changes by the use of the
schemata and its integration in the ldap-logic. Now, we need to redevelop
this web-application to the new standard. As we will do it, it should have
native samba ldap integration from the beginning. Can someone tells me how
complete is the samba-ldap-code? And which objectclasses and attributes
samba needs...

Setting up Samba-LDAP for 3.0a on Mandrake 9.1
I could use some help figureing out what specifically the differences
are between Samba 3.0a and 2.2.X in regards to LDAP. Partucularly when
it comes to the schemata. After I've got it figured out I will see that
the MandrakeSecure HOWTOs are updated to include this info to help
Mandrake users who want to try a Samba 3.0 DC. Note that as yet the
beta version is not available in an RPM for Mandrake.

Strange Roaming Profiles problem
.... But I find
\usr\share\doc\packages\samba\Registry\NT4-Locking.reg: Does this may help?
Under which circumstances one have to apply these settings?
Second, I'm playing around with the profiles on the server: Copying parts of
them from one user to the other, modifying the SID Field in the LDAP
Schemata and re-joining the Domain multiple times. May this cause such
problems?
Any ideas? Respose would be VERY wellcome!!!
Thanks,
Thorsten Marsen.

Connecting to multiple databases with multiple database users

I would appreciate very much ANY THOUGHTS on how to handle multiple
users on multiple databases with rails! How to properly use the
database.yml to configure connections for multiple users on multiple
database(schemata)? What to do with the default connections needed by
rails (development, test, production sections in the yml) that just
don''t really make sense in such a setting?
PLEASE also read my last posting on Connecting to multiple databases.
I still haven''t solved this problem ...

rake test_units not loading any fixtures
Hello All,
If I run my unit tests individually using Ruby, they all work correctly.
However, if I try to run them using "rake test_units", I get a bunch of
error messages.
The error messages appear to be caused by rake not loading any of the
fixtures into the test database.
I am using PostgreSQL on Windows.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Many thanks,
Bruce.
