After a few minutes it drops out of graphic install and the last thing on the screen is "Checking root filesystem". It then sets there FOREVER. Any ideas? I have already re-installed from scatch and get the exact same thing. Jerry

Hi all, I'd like to replace an old NT-wins server by a linux box with samba and I'm wondering how long it will take for the wins-table on the linux machine to get filled up from scatch (the size of the net is of order 1000 machines). Does anyone have *real-life* data/experiences of such a migration ? Any tipps or hints ? Is there a way/tool to convert the (Windows) Wins-DB into the wins.dat format ? Regards, Thore

Hi, R Core Team: How do you test the latest changes to the core R code? Is it just "R CMD check"? Or do you use other tools, like the perl "prove" module?
