[1.4] Minimal installation?
Hello, I'd like to run Asterisk on an embedded device, where space is scarce. It should be able to handle calls from a VoIP provider in SIP, calls from the PSTN through Dahdi, and voicemail. If someone's already done this, I'd like to know which directories/files are required for a basic install? Does this look right? ================= /bin/asterisk /etc/asterisk/ asterisk.conf

mean over previous cells
Dear RUsers, I guess this is an easy question for someone a little familiar with programming...(which I am not)... I've got 2 colummns, one shows just dates(SST_date, Class 'Date' num), the other one shows the SeaSurfaceTemperature (SST, num) at that certain date. SST_date SST 2008-01-01 22.2 2008-01-02 21.8 2008-01-03 22.8 2008-01-04 22.9 2008-01-05 23.1 2008-01-06 23.2 ...

How much memory is need to host a rails app?
I''m looking to host a low-traffic, personal blog. I already have a VPS Linux host with 192MB of RAM. How much memory is need to run a rails app? Considering that memory is scarce, I assuming LigHTTPD will be a better choice than apache. What about MySql? Do I need more memory to host that or should I consider sqlite instead? Is anyone else hosting a Rails a rails app on a host with

load ff object in a different computer
Hi all, I am having trouble loading a ff object previously saved in a different computer. I have both files .ffData and .RData, and the first of them is 13Mb large from which I know the data is therein. But when I try to ffload it, checkdir error: cannot create /home/_myUser_ Permission denied unable to process home/_myUser_/Rtempdir/ff1a831d500b8d.ff. and

GTX 980TI Support
Sorry to bother you guys and gals, but I have not been able to find an answer as to when or if there is or will be a Nouveau driver that supports the 980ti. I have been running the proprietary driver back-ported for Debian Jessie, but I'm starting to see some issues, mainly dealing with xrandr12 under wine, and VGA console support for Plymouth. >From what I can see NV110 supports the 980

welch anova and post-hoc
dear r community... it loks like i won't be able to reach homogenity of variance for my dataset, so i end up with welch anova instead of regular anova. documentation on this test is rather scarce, so maybe someone here can enlighten me a bit: - do i understand that no two-way implementation of the welch anova has been developed yet? - is there a post-hoc test for welch anovas implemented in

TDMoE or IAX?
Hi all, Information on this topic seems a little scarce, so I thought I'd try the list.... Apart from the the coolness factor can anyone explain to me in what situation one would use TDMoE rather than IAX for communication betwwen 2 Asterisk servers?

ext3 0.0.7a OK for linux 2.2.20?
Hello, Now that kernel 2.2.20 is out with security fixes, I'd be interested in using it with ext3. The latest patch for 2.2.19, 0.0.7a, applies with some offset (both with and without kdb), and even compiles (without kdb), but I scarcely know what I am doing so haven't tried it yet. Could people in the know enlighten me on that point? I guess there is little chance for another ext3 patch in the 2.2 series? Thanks in advance, Cedric Ware.

RPMforge metadata problems
Hi, Yesterday evening I added a TIMESTAMP to the root of my tree in order to follow up on the correctness of mirrors. And after 12 hours more than 50% of the mirrors do not have that TIMESTAMP file. It is possible that it is filtered out, so the test is not at all valid. I am going to reduce the number of mirrors and only add the ones that have a recent TIMESTAMP. However since information on

idmap problems with Samba 3.0 beta3
Hi! With Samba 3.0 beta 2, I could use "idmap" Windows-to-Unix mappings. I could run "pdbedit -a <user>" to add a Windows account and Samba would automatically acquire a UID using OpenLDAP as the backend. However, with the same configuration file, Samba 3.0 beta 3 simply doesn't query the OpenLDAP directory about "sambaUnixIdPool" object class, and limits

Prevent smbd from consulting winbindd
Colleagues, I am running smbd in a setup described in http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/idmapper.html#id2604553 under "Winbind is not used; users and groups are local". Samba is running in the security=domain mode, but all Windows users are being mapped to Unix users in /etc/passwd. Now I need to run winbindd for Squid authentication. The problem is, as soon as

Make virtio vq size configurable by a guest.
Hi, Currently in virtio host dictates the size and layout of vq that should be used. To talk to a device that has one vq with 128 elements guest needs to allocate at least 2 pages. Usually this is not a problem, but sometimes guest runs in a resource restricted environment and then it may not have enough memory to initialize all virtio devices present in the system.
