A user's last access time
...configuration_manual/lastlogin_plugin/
Hello Sami,
I have seen this but I do not want this information in a database. If
you know how to make the lastlogin_plugin write to a local file, that
would be very helpful. Even a local sqlite database would do.
The documentation for the plugin seems very scarce.

[1.4] Minimal installation?
Hello,
I'd like to run Asterisk on an embedded device, where space is scarce.
It should be able to handle calls from a VoIP provider in SIP, calls
from the PSTN through Dahdi, and voicemail.
If someone's already done this, I'd like to know which
directories/files are required for a basic install?
Does this look right?

mean over previous cells
...ike to add a column that shows the mean SST over the last
(e.g.) 60 days (for that specific date).
My biological question is, whether the birthweight of an animal at a
specific birthdate changes due to the SST over the last 60 days before
birth. (SST is an indicator for food abundance - if food is scarce, mothers
can't feed much and hence, pups are born lighter!?)
Up to now, I can only show, whether the SeaSurfaceTemperatures on the
birthdate can have an influence on birthweight, which is not what I want to
do...
Can anybody tell me, how to start, where to look it up or help me even more?

How much memory is need to host a rails app?
I''m looking to host a low-traffic, personal blog. I already have a VPS
Linux host with 192MB of RAM. How much memory is need to run a rails app?
Considering that memory is scarce, I assuming LigHTTPD will be a better
choice than apache. What about MySql? Do I need more memory to host that
or should I consider sqlite instead? Is anyone else hosting a Rails a rails
app on a host with 192MB of RAM or less? Are you using FastCGI or something
else?

load ff object in a different computer
...username is
different, so user "xyz" does not exist. I tried changing the option
"Rtempdir" but no luck.
In addition, when I open the .ffData file to see what is inside, there is
only a path to the ff1a831... temporary file. As information about ff
package in internet is rather scarce, could anyome please help me to
understand this, and possibly recover my data if it is possible?
Thank you!

GTX 980TI Support

welch anova and post-hoc
dear r community...
it loks like i won't be able to reach homogenity of variance for my
dataset, so i end up with welch anova instead of regular anova.
documentation on this test is rather scarce, so maybe someone here can
enlighten me a bit:
- do i understand that no two-way implementation of the welch anova
has been developed yet?
- is there a post-hoc test for welch anovas implemented in R?
thanks a lot,

TDMoE or IAX?
Hi all,
Information on this topic seems a little scarce, so I thought I'd try
the list....
Apart from the the coolness factor can anyone explain to me in what
situation one would use TDMoE rather than IAX for communication

ext3 0.0.7a OK for linux 2.2.20?
Hello,
Now that kernel 2.2.20 is out with security fixes, I'd be interested
in using it with ext3. The latest patch for 2.2.19, 0.0.7a, applies
with some offset (both with and without kdb), and even compiles
(without kdb), but I scarcely know what I am doing so haven't tried
it yet.
Could people in the know enlighten me on that point? I guess there
is little chance for another ext3 patch in the 2.2 series?
Thanks in advance,
Cedric Ware.

RPMforge metadata problems
...than 50%
of the mirrors do not have that TIMESTAMP file.
It is possible that it is filtered out, so the test is not at all valid.
I am going to reduce the number of mirrors and only add the ones that have
a recent TIMESTAMP.
However since information on why this happens (or when this happens) is
scarce, I am not sure if reducing the mirrorlist will be effective.
So hopefully, after this weekend the problems some of you have seen with
Yum and the mirrorlist will be a problem of the past.

idmap problems with Samba 3.0 beta3
...to
look for a directory entry with a "uid" matching the username specified
as parameter in the "pdbedit" command.
What am I doing wrong? What has changed since beta 2? The announcement
talks about changes in mapping between SID and UID, but, as in the past,
the documentation is scarce and somewhat confusing. I haven't been able
to track any changes to this.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

EFI 64bit and Kernel 32 bit
Hello!
is it possible to boot a 32 Bit Kernel on 64 EFI firmware with Syslinux?
I copied "efi64/efi/syslinux.efi", all files inside
"efi64/com32/modules" and the file "ldlinux.e64" to my boot partition.
with this configuration I am able to boot a 64 bit kernel. but not 32bit
Kernel.
does anyone knows how to do it?
Best Regards

Prevent smbd from consulting winbindd
Colleagues,
I am running smbd in a setup described in
http://www.samba.org/samba/docs/man/Samba-HOWTO-Collection/idmapper.html#id2604553
under "Winbind is not used; users and groups are local". Samba is
running in the security=domain mode, but all Windows users are being
mapped to Unix users in /etc/passwd.
Now I need to run winbindd for Squid authentication. The problem is,

Sounds awesome, let's do that ;-)
You are also leaving a bunch of 4K holes in your address space. On 32-bit systems, address space is a scarce resource.

Make virtio vq size configurable by a guest.
...o devices present in the

support. Since the BIOS should be able to access the disk even after OS
is launched vq should be allocated from a special memory region that will
be marked as unavailable to an OS, but such memory is scarce. Because vq
is so huge only a couple of virtio disks can be initialized by the BIOS.
It would be nice if a guest will be able to tell to a host what vq size
should be used instead. BIOS issues only one request at a time anyway,
so it needs only one element in vq. It does not care about performance...
