Alec Saunders post about Mashable Telco's
Interesting read in Alec Saunders blog today.
http://saunderslog.com/2007/03/01/mashable-telcos/
Thought it may interest some people on this list.
As food for thought, why it is that ITSP's haven't come up with more
'interesting' voice applications? When asterisk first became available I
thought it was the...

I know this is simple, but can someone point me to the right function (if it exists). I have not had any luck finding it in the R-help, but maybe I am searching using the wrong keywords.
Thanks,
Mike

I applied it to my other machines (RedHat) and they worked fine. But this
solaris box I require this patch, because after the files are moved from
this machine the originals on the Sun box must be deleted to make room for
additional incoming files.

Dead wood code
...d wood pieces across an area? I am specifically looking for code to simulate the dead wood distribution as small line segments across an extent, and then I will "sample" the dead wood using different sampling techniques including line transects, fixed area plots, etc.
Thanks,
Mike

Plotting using image files

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Status of the "bs" Package
The October 2006 R News had an article in which the authors discussed a new
package that implemented the Birnbaum-Saunders distribution. However, the
package (aptly named "bs") does not appear to be available for installation.
Does anyone know the status of this package? Thanks.

Moving to Dovecot
...mail/inbox but I really don't want to have to do that if at
all possible as that'll break other custom stuff.
Does anyone have any ideas?
[ Apologies if this is a FAQ - I've had a good Google around and a look at
the mail archives but can't find the info. ]
TIA,
Matt.

gsummary
...came up to so far.
gr<-gsummary(xyz.packet,FUN=list(numeric=max,numeric=length),omitGroupingFactor=T,form=~X/Y)
The help for the function gives no examples using multiple functions as a FUN value, so the help pages haven't been overly useful in this case.
Thanks in advance,

Hiding the passes
How do you hide all the green passing examples from the output?
I don''t need to know what has passed and it means I have to scroll to
see what has failed.

[LLVMdev] Label and jump support for ms-inline-assembly
Wondering if someone could tell me what would be involved to add support
for jumps (within asm block, between asm blocks, and between C/C++ and asm
blocks) for Microsoft inline assembly?
Is there a rough feel for where it is on the roadmap?
Thanks,

Concave Hull?
...htly concave so chull would give me slivers that are extrapolations from my data. Is there some other type of "chull" function that will allow the resulting polygon to be slightly concave? (I can send a picture to show what I am trying to do, if needed)
Thanks in advance,

Problems running a 4-parameter Weibull function with nls
...a.
3) Drop out all the 0s in the seeded data
4) Add jitter to the seeded data
I should note that this worked to get a 3-parameter Gompertz to work, but that functional form is more difficult to interpret biologically.
I am out of ideas. Thoughts anyone? I would appreciate any help.

Split-split plot ANOVA
Does someone out there have an example of R-code for a split-split plot ANOVA using aov or another function? The design is not balanced. I never set up one in R before and it would be nice to see an example before I tackle a very complex design I have to model.
Thanks,
Mike

What you can disable or enable on the UI I never got into, Never needed to.
Just use strong passwords. Make separate passwords for all sources. And
only use the master password for testing or emergency use.
