GetText Question: How not to gather ActiveRecord''s columns?
Hi,
Rake''s ''updatepo'' task[1] suggested by Masao(Ruby-GetText maintainer)
gather whole model''s columns. I don''t need to translate those column names.
So I''d like to give translators the po files without such needless messages.
However I wouldn''t like to exclude ''app/models'', because of some useful

Must digital signing be disable when connecting to W2K3 SP1 share?
Is there a more elegant way to do the following without disabling digital
signing? What if I have an app requiring digital signing I need to connect
to the W2K3 in the future?
For explanation have the following;
1. Linux server running Samba 2.2.8a
2. Linux server running Samba 3.0.10
3. Window 2003 Server Standard SP1, not running Active Directory or as
domain controller.

filtering data frame based on two columns
Hi,
I have a data frame df with column names a,b and c.
Now I want to get a subset of df that satified the condition a == 1 and b
== 2, how do I specify this.
For one condition like a == 1 I can use subdf = df[,df$a==1] to get the
right answer, but
subdf = df[,df$a==1 && df$b ==2] does not return the right answer.
Some quick tips please.

[ThinLTO] assert(GS != DefinedGlobals.end()) failed in FunctionImport.cpp
Hello Teresa,
Thank you for your analysis. One thing to note is that the global materializer materializes the value as a function declaration, not a function definition. As I pasted on my first email,

Please, find a suggestion for a corresponding patch below.
The code modified according to my patch satifies the following general
requirement: The only thing that an implementation of the function
samin as an API should do with its argument void * ex is to pass it to
functions given by other arguments of samin. Then the user has full control
on usage of argument "ex" and is completely free to c...

It was r274523. I’m not sure it was the same module. By mistake I restarted the build with the previous version without backing backing up the build artifacts :(

[AAF] acts_as_ferret 0.4.0 released
Hi folks!
Just wanted to let you know that I released aaf 0.4.0 on last weekend.
Besides the DRb server it also includes a new lazy loading feature that
lets you do ferret searches without actually loading any records from the
DB. Useful e.g. for live searches:
model:
class MyModel
acts_as_ferret :fields => { :title => { :store => :yes }, :content => {} }
end

AW: Why the commotion about file extensions?
Well, I only recently subscribed to this mailing list and do not know all
the history of this extension debate (I passed up on reading the hundreds of
messages that seem to have been written about this topic).
I just wanted to make one quick point: from my experience, the average user
does not know about file formats, only about content (my experience stems
from working for ashampoo

So a couple things were added to gold since then, index-based linkonce/weak
resolution and some more aggressive internalization. I don't
