using wildcards on node
Hello,
Can I use wildcards on the node''s name/address? For example, I want
something like this:
node ''server-*.domain.com'' {
....
}
where ''*'' is a number. If this is not possible, there''s another way of
reaching this behaviour?
Thanks.

Recursive file hieararchy with order precedence
Hello,
Consider the following;
You have a number of sites, all controlled by puppet. You have
identified which files that are common to every host, and then which
files are common to any particular site. Finally, you have the files
which are private to the node in question.
What I was wondering was if it would be possible to have some sort of
directory hierarchy which has some kind of

Re-setting groups each run?
Hi,
I''ve added in some initial user management to my growing puppet configs,
and I''m seeing an odd behavior in that it is trying to set the groups
for the users each time, despite them already being set. The list of
groups it is setting for the user contains each group twice, in what
seems to be a random order, like this:

Greetings,
Shouldn''t puppetd -o --ignoreschedules ... imply that splay* options are
ignored :-) If that''s not the intended behavior could we get a --run-now
that ignores splay* and schedules?

Newbie questions...
I''ve spent the last week or two poring over the documentation and
setting up my first puppet environment, and while I''ve figured out
how to do most of what I want to do with it, I have some questions
that I haven''t been able to find answers for...
* Can I match parts of a facter fact? In particular I have hostnames

[PATCH 0/9] Package the ocaml libraries
The following set of patches package up the ocaml libraries that are
part of the standard xen build. The patches are also currently available
at: https://github.com/jonludlam/pkg-xen/commits/for-debian
There are some things to note:
1. The 5 patches imported from xen-unstable are not, and will not go
into the xen-4.1-stable series. However, the patches were created
at the request of the
