Dear Group members! Since I have set up a Samba PDC-Server (openSUSE 11.2-64bit with default package Samba 3.4.3) approx. 8 months ago, I have encountered 3 or 4 times a severe crash of Samba. ...work consists of PDC, BDC and hybrid NTwks/98 clients. NT servers are all SP4 and some of the NT clients too. ALL run NetBEUI (for security reasons) and most TCP/IP (only 1 segment). PDC runs both protocols, BDC runs NB only (file server). Samba server isn't seen by master browser. Smbclient -L SambaMachine asks for password and whatever supplied is incorrect.
