Hi, On my x86_64 system I have a SiL311x controller that can do RAID. If I configure my 2 identical disks in a RAID1 setup, I would expect to see only 1 block device on Linux. Still I see 2 block devices. Is this intentional, and if so, isn't that dangerous ? Hi all, I see that the premade binaries for Samba on Solaris, even recent versions, have ADS support not compiled in. I see more ad domains than nt4 domains these days, so I am going to compile it myself with ads on. I want to ask the experienced if there are any gotchas with ads Samba on Solaris, or something about Solaris that makes ads Samba support difficult. Thanks Jason

Dear All, we are experiencing severe problems with Samba 2.2.0 (with quota support) running on a dual processor (400MHz) Sun E450 running Solaris 2.7. This is used as a central file server for student diskspace, accessed by approx 1200 PCs running NT 4. Up until recently we experienced some, what we assume to be, loading issues with connections during the middle of the day being slow.
