new with xcp 1.6 - iscsi raw configuration
Hi all,
I have experience with XEN, but I just start making tests with XCP.
My XEN installation uses iscsi disks in raw mode (i mean using phy:/...
for vm definitions where the block device is an iscsi lun managed by the
dom0).
I''m reading citrix manuals and googling a lot but still i''m not sure
about the way to make such a configuration.
Any of you has a tutorial for that

How to make "Add permission" for folder in system with ntacl support? Part 2
Hello.
Sorry I didn't post it under the "how to make..." email - I didn't
received it - I only found it in archives. But I think we both mean the
same.
All this below regards samba on debian etch: 3.0.24-6etch4
I have a share on partition mounted with acl (options=acl,...). As you
know I can locally on server add another ACL entries on files in that
folder. When I connect with

Inconsistency in as.data.frame.table for stringsAsFactors
I noticed that in as.data.frame.table, the stringsAsFactors argument
defaults to TRUE, whereas in the other as.data.frame methods, it defaults to
default.stringsAsFactors().
The documentation and implementation agree on this, so this is not a bug.
However, I was wondering if this disparity was intended or if it might be
some sort of unintentional oversight. If it is intentional, I wonder what

For Your Own Info: Rails 2.3.2 is incompatible with Cucumber (0.8.5), Capybara (0.3.9) and Selenium-webdriver (0.0.17)
Railers,
I am running an application on Rails 2.3.2. For some reason within our
organization, we wish to remain on this version of Rails. For BDD/Testing,
we use Cucumber. So I installed Cucumber (0.8.5), Capybara (0.3.9) and
Selenium-webdriver (0.0.17). But when I run Cucumber on any feature, I get
an error saying *" wrong number of arguments (2 for 1) (ArgumentError)"*,

Unable to join Windows 2k AD NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
I am having horrendous issues with trying to get Samba 3.0.4 to join to
a Windows 2000 AD (patched to current). As this one is hurting a bit
and needs to be fixed soon, I was hoping I may find salvation in this
list from someone here who may be able to shed some useful light on this
issue. I am using the latest gentoo mit-krb5 build.
Net join always results in NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED - this

rc28 : can't set quotas with userdb + passwd file
I'm using dovecot 1.0 rc28 - great software!
I have a virtual hosting setup, with passdb and userdb both using a
passwd file.
I cannot get per-user quotas put in the relevant field of the userdb to
work. They appear to be completely ignored; only the setting
from /etc/dovecot.conf is applied.
Can anyone confirm that this is working for them? If it is, can you post
the relevant bits of

--password-file
The man page says:
--password-file
This option allows you to provide a password in a
file for
accessing an rsync daemon. The file must not be world
readable.
It should contain just the password as a single line.
The trouble with this is that the file then shows up like this in an ls:

Re: A little question about swfdec 0.4.3 and ffmpeg's swscaler
Ok, this time without hitting send accidentally...
1) Please write to the proper mailing list. Swfdec is not getting
enough mail to make splitting the commit mail worth it (yet ;)).
2) I don not really have a clue about ffmpeg, and all its weird
options and features. I just know enough to make Debian's version work
in swfdec. And I don't really care until there's something out

I was wondering why there isn't a FLAC_index (FLAC_index16 or FLAC_index32)
type that would prevent someone from just "winging" it with a bad choice for

Randomly Dropping Audio / CTD
Now that 1.2 is out, will the issue of randomly dropping audio finally be addressed? Personally, I'm ignoring the stable series until this problem is identified and fixed. I understand that someone is working of revamping OpenAL support in WINE so when will users likely see the fruit of this revamp? This issue of randomly dropping audio with the application then CTD is extremely important.

[LLVMdev] PDB debug info
Hi people,
Unlike GCC, LLVM has seemingly good support for interoperability with MSVC
built windows code.
This makes LLVM particularly attractive to my company/project, but it seems
LLVM doesn't support writing PDB debug into into it's COFF output.
It seems Win64 exception handling has been added recently, which perhaps
makes PDB the only outstanding feature for effective use with

Nine questions about methods and generics
I have a series of question about methods and generics.
The questions are interspersed in some text which explains
what I want to do, how it works now and why I do not
understand well why it works. Questions are written

The concrete problem is this: it has become customary
