This after I reverted back to puppet v2.7.11 on my master. Not running

R loops
hello everybody,
I have a directory with over 3000 files with different names. I would like
to make some vectors with the file names which are belong together.
I'm trying to do it with a for loop in R:
SF <- c("ad", "cd", "cer", "stress", "salty", "PC", "high", "transfer",
"cold", "heat") # the pattern to look for
names(SF) <- as.vector(SF)
for (i in 1:length(SF)){
write(names(SF)[i], "")
for (j in 1:length(SF))
{list[j] <- grep(names(SF...

Exported variable foo...(fu?)
Hi folks,
For the first time since I started playing with puppet I started down the
road of using exported resources This was inspired by my reading all of the
nagios related recipes that went something along the lines of
class nagios {
package {nagios: ensure=> latest }
service {nagios : ensure => running , enable => true}
Nagios_host <<! !>>

packages and Solaris
Hi folks,
I''m about to propose to my current company that we use puppet to manage
releases of home grown software. The environment is a mix of Solaris
8/9/10 and RHEL 5&6.
I''ve got a handle on how to create recipes to release software into the
RHEL environment. The unknown for me is how to manipulate the pkgadd
provider to load the locally grown package stream. Can

CA issues...
OK...
I started seeing some issues with the certificates between my clients and
the puppetmaster. So I went ahead and removed puppet from the clients and
cleaned up /var/lib/puppet and /etc/puppet. Then I reinstalled puppet,
signed the new cert and things seemed to go OK after that.
Then the shocker the second run started to fail and i have this message:

smbclient for SCO OpenServer 5.0.7
...ollowed
if there are suggestions on a reasonable venue-maybe a VCS branch somewhere.
I know that the official stance toward this platform is one of non-support,
and, this is an incomplete port, but, in the interest of helping people
that find themselves in a pinch, it doesn't seem worth letting salty
attitudes dissuade sharing. Thoughts?

[LLVMdev] HELP! PLEASE!

there are no examples I can find on the internet.
And I can't get a working instance of AssemblyAnnotationWriter.
I don't understand why it's so hard to do.
Am I really just too stupid?
This is so basic it is beneath your notice.
I don't get it, and it has me tasting salty tears.

I'm always interested in seeing Samba get built for old/exotic
architechures and platforms - however 3.6.x is *way* out of
support, so there's no chance this patch could get merged.
If you want to make it useful for others, you could always log...

Is there any benefit to using NetworkManager on a server with a static IP?
I've been banging my head against the wall trying to get a simple two NIC
bond to work. Got really odd behavior from service network restart, then
finally decided to disable NetworkManager. Voila! Bonding and the network
service script starts working just the way I expect.
Does anyone here actually use NetworkManager on anything but a laptop or
desktop? I can't seem to figure out a reason

puppet-module on Debian
"The nice thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from."
-- Andrew S Tannenbaum
Debian does wonky things when you install a gem from "gem install."
Usually this isn''t a problem unless there are executables to consider.
I am running into that very thing with the "puppet-module" script on my
laptop which runs a flavor of Debian.
I thought I
