Red Hat is Planning To Deprecate KDE on RHEL By 2024
...e-centos/ > > * https://blog.microlinux.fr/poste-de-travail-gnome-centos-7/ > Thanks for the readings - as someone that recently moved from 10+ years on Ubuntu, I quite liked Unity. I'm finding Gnome a little brain dead in some obvious-to-me-why-not-everyone-else areas. For me, the saddest thing about this announcement is that I *still* think Amarok is the best media player available, even if I've not used it for a while. Installing the entire KDE base for one program is just too heavy. It really is streets ahead of the other media players though. Cheers L. ------ '...postw...

[LLVMdev] llvm-gcc and mips
Hi Kevin, > Supposed that you knew my approach was intentional (correct me if I'm > wrong), what problem did you see here? Yes, i'm trying to help raising possible problems. For example, there are Mips machines with different endianess, the llvm Mips default (Big) is different from the psp toochain default one (correct me if I'm wrong - Little), maybe this is messing up...

Detecting empty office doc containing virus macro
We are receiving LOTS of emails that contain empty XLS or DOC documents with embedded virus macros. These are getting past SPAMASSASSIN, Clamav and Kaspersky. I'm trying to write a filter for EXIM to block these emails but I need to know a good, quick, command-line to detect an empty doc with a macro. Is there anything available that I can use?? I have managed to write a PERL script to

Ruby at O''Reilly Rough Cuts
Not sure if this is old news or not, but it would appear that both the Ruby Cookbook and a Rails book are now available for purchase at O''Reilly Rough Cuts (something akin to PragProg''s beta book program): http://rubyurl.com/nHz http://my.safaribooksonline.com/?mode=roughcuts&srchtext=ROUGHCUTS I haven''t tried them yet, but it definitely seems worth checking out.

zfs-discuss mailing list & opensolaris EOL
So, I hear, in a couple weeks'' time, opensolaris.org is shutting down. What does that mean for this mailing list? Should we all be moving over to something at illumos or something? I''m going to encourage somebody in an official capacity at opensolaris to respond... I''m going to discourage unofficial responses, like, illumos enthusiasts etc simply trying to get people
