Installing Java on X86_64 CentOS 4.1
I have some problems installing java support to my browser (firefox).
This support I installed with no problem when running the 32 bit version
on the same machine, but now I can't find the plugin.
I running on S754 - AMD XP3000
this is the file i download:
jre-1_5_0_04-linux-amd64.bin
And I am following the installation instructions from this link:
http://java.com/en/download/help/5000010500.xml
Everything seems to install perfectly, but the libjavaplugin_oji.so is
not included, I can't find.

I read some place how to make a kernel the rh way or something (making a
rh kernel from the kernel.org kernel) Has someone a good routine for this?

I have been running 64bit and 32 bit back and forward a couple of times
on my desktop and ended up going back to 32 bit. Even thou I now 32 bit
programs run on 64 bit, I need Java fully supported....

accessible via NFS/FTP and maybe CIFS. The machine I have dedicated for
this job would be a slow (2800+ S754) AMD64 with about 1.5G of slow ram
(166Mhz (DDR333), though I could put in 200Mhz ram if it makes a BIG
difference). The storage pool would look as follows, 2x 160GB,
preferably as mirror or similar for OS +initial storage, IDE. 4x 500GB
on a sil2124 Sata2 PCI/PCI-X controller, and later 4x300GB ID...
