Paul,
Are you using Samba to authenticate then? You've created user accounts
on your Linux system that map to Windows accounts and built the Samba
password database using 'smbpasswd'?

'security = ads' & 'valid users ='
I will be upgrading my Samba server from 2.2.8a to 3.0.10. I currently
have security set to 'share' and plan on migrating to 'ads' for improved
authentication. I have one snag, though...
I have remote users who reside in and are managed by a Windows domain

1 BDC per 50 Clients? Can that really be true? (HOWTO)

(I've seen Damien Miller's patch for OpenBSD, but I don't really have
any experience coding in C)?

wbinfo - Missing Domain Groups
Has anybody found that the 'wbinfo' command does not list all groups in
a Windows domain?
Here's what's in my playground:
Windows 2000 Server SP4 PDC
RH 9 (2.4.20-6)
OpenSSL 3.8p1
MIT Kerberos 1.3.3
Samba 3.0.4
--begin 'smb.conf' snip-
winbind separator = .
idmap uid = 10000-20000
idmap gid = 10000-20000
winbind enum users = yes
winbind enum groups = yes
