I tried to play portal 2 and my graphics start flickering rapidly, mostly black. tried on ubuntu 10.10 64 bit wine version 1.3 ati radeon hd 4870 ver 11.3(i believe) 04:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc RV770 [Radeon HD 4870] i updated to ati radeon hd 4870 ver 11.4 and still same problem. I've played another game called Nexuiz which works fine with my graphics card, not Wine of course.....any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

We have a lot of x86 specific stuff in the architecture independent graphics memory management to get the caching right, abusing the DMA API on multiple occasions, need to distinct between AGP and driver specific page tables etc etc...
