My little experiment with a s/h WD drive for /tmp and SWAP partitions kicked the bucket on Wednesday, when the poor WD drive caught the click-of-death. I downloaded the Live DVD for CentOS-6.5 and burned a DVD-R using a CentOS-6.5 desktop. To test the validity of the new DVD I then rebooted the same desktop using the same Live DVD.
