I downloaded the Live DVD for CentOS-6.5 and burned a DVD-R using a CentOS-6.5 desktop. To test the validity of the new DVD I then rebooted the same desktop using the same Live DVD. No matter which Live DVD boot option I choose I see this after the splash screen completes the Circle (sounds like a good title for a novel). <--- Kernel panic - Not syncing - Attempting to kill init! Hi, Friday, July 4, 2014, 7:43:03 PM, you wrote:> Kernel panic - Not syncing - Attempting to kill init! > Pid: 1, comm: init Not tainted 2.6.32-431.el6.x86_64 # 1related problem here, although I have this kernel panic after updating to the most recent kernel. The machine starts fine using the next older kernel version. You could try it with an older version of the live DVD. best regards --- Michael Schumacher PAMAS Partikelmess- und Analysesysteme GmbH Dieselstr.10, D-71277 Rutesheim Tel +49-7152-99630 Fax +49-7152-996333 Gesch?ftsf?hrer: Gerhard Schreck Handelsregister B Stuttgart HRB 252024
