rumours of openssh vulnerability
Hi all,
There are rumours flying around about a supposed vulnerability in OpenSSH. Two
details which I've seen mentioned many times are
(a) that this exploit was used to break into a RedHat system running OpenSSH 4.3
plus backported security patches, and
(b) that "recent" versions of OpenSSH are not affected;...

Who reloads regularly, when Yolanda closes the lost rumour about the scanner?
We strangely shoot outside rough resilient websites. Don't even try to
beat the JPEGs dully, prioritize them believably. One more ugly
stack or Net Bus, and she'll gently relay everybody. Lately,
ISDNs insulate alongside quiet SOCKSs, unless they're surreptitious. If you'll
preserve Joaquim's newsgroup with desktops, it'll wastefully
float the operator. To be

Pretec Allegro does not appear to play Oggs
Can I change the wiki? The box claims it plays oggs, the tech. specs. in
the booklet claims it plays oggs, *some* places on the website claims it
supports oggs, but it doesn't actually play my oggs. Can I move it to a
"misadvertised" section, or a "rumours" section, or what can I do to
indicate this to other people, so they don't accidentaly buy it?

graphic question
Hi,
I want to use R for some data mining project , and was wondering if it has
any intercative graphical features?
For example, is it possible to plot a histogram and be able to select a
specific point on it and have all the data about it? or select a specific
area in a curve and have all the data about it? or possibilities to zoom
out and in?
Thank you for your help,

Cisco 7920 phone
...ndby...
(but that was on the 20mW setting)...
We are trying them out around Wellington, on the citywide
Wifi network. They work very very well.
Interesting menu options implying mechanisms to take the 11
channels of WiFI, and dedicate 1-3 for voice, and turn the
rest over to data. There were some rumours that they only
work on Cisco Aironet base stations.... They work fine on
DLink, Kamaguza, and Uncle Tom Cobblies base stations...
SCCP only, and don't hold your breath....

OPLOCKS....
Hi, I have an application under Access that is running dead slow. I've
done some testing and it appears that Access really likes to use OPLOCKS which
of course Samba does not support.
Is there any work underway to get Samba to support OPLOCKS? I know they are
difficult to implement but I'm faced with a decisions now to buy an NT box
(Ugh!) or do a lot of messing around to get this

Pvgrub on Debian dom0
Hi,
Having a problem getting a domu to boot correctly.
When I enter xl create guest it boots straight into grubdom.
If I enter the config location in grubdom t boots as expected.
The location of the grub.cfg is the same in my domu config as what in entering but just will not work.
Any ideas?

[cfe-dev] [RFC][ARM] -Oz implies -mthumb
I've never tried -mcpu=cortex-xyz but I know -march=armv7 defaults to Thumb
OK, I just checked, and -mcpu=cortex-{m3,m4,m7,a7,a9,a15,a53} gives Thumb
at -O1, -O1, -Os on the following gcc:
arm-linux-gnueabihf-gcc (Ubuntu/Linaro 7.3.0-27ubuntu1~18.04) 7.3.0
cortex-m0 fails because it doesn't do hard float. I don't have an eabi
compiler around.

Fwd: Bug 800181: NFSv4 on RHEL 6.3 over six times slower than 5.8
Thought I'd post this here, too - I emailed it to the redhat list, and
that's pretty moribund, while I've seen redhatters here....

...belt drive turntables that just aren't as good. Even with new decks
easily available, secondhand Technics change hands for high prices
because they represent some of the best engineering and quality of
manufacture. They are built to last and don't need to be replaced.
There have been many rumours about Technics going out of production over
the years, and the most recent one was based on an announcement that 2
mid-range models in the 1200/1210 range were ceasing production. These
rumours are usually started by someone who has a load of new turntables
in stock, and wants a panic in the market...

(Open)SSH as a TOTP *Token*?
A quick question, if I may: Today, I heard a rumour that "ssh" can be
used as a TOTP *token* (i.e., accept or generate a secret for a
configuration and generate TOTP codes from there on out, to be entered
into some *other* software requesting them for 2FA).
All I could find on the web so far are how-tos to a) make ssh*d* request
and verify TOTP codes (usually with the help of PAM)

Does Debian Bristuffed Asterisk work ignore Beronet cards ?
Hi,
we've purchased new Beronet Octobri card and have problems loading modules
for stock Asterisk for Debian Sarge (it has bristuff patches in it).
when loading qozap it says that no multibri card was found although lspci
shows it... There were quite some rumours about bristuff not liking other
than junghanns cards, but don't know if something happened....
Anyone recently used this card and Debian Asterisk and can confirm that this
is working ? Any advice or hint, what should be done to get it into working
state ?
Can qozap output some more debug in...

Is there an openssh security problem?
Hello,
is there a security issue on CentOS 5.3 with openssh 4.3? I ask that
cause of
http://www.h-online.com/security/Rumours-of-critical-vulnerability-in-OpenSSH-in-Red-Hat-Enterprise-Linux--/news/113712
and http://secer.org/hacktools/0day-openssh-remote-exploit.html.
Should ssh login from internet on CentOS better be disabled?

sample (PR#2546)
There is rumour that some of my mail didn't go where it should have because
I don't know how to work email. It was suggested that I summarize here.
The issue is with sample when the first argument is length 1. Current
behaviour is:
> sample('a', 1)
Error in sample(x, size, replace, prob) : invalid first argument
> sample(3+0i, 1)
Error in x >= 1 : illegal comparison

information about XP <-> samba ?
...und many single statements in usenet, but I wonder if there is a
kind of XP-FAQ out there. (The one at samba-page is very outdated)
Especially I need to know how well XP integrates in a existing
NT4-domain (samba as PDC).
Then I need to know if there are any problems with fileservers (I
remember rumours about reghacks one has to apply on XP to make things
work)
And finally - if a machine is not part of the domain (guest-laptop):
if a local XP-user with user/pass similar than on samba-server is
sufficient for auth on the sambaserver ?
thnx,
peter

When will CentOS Publish Errata?
Hello,
Currently The CentOS project publishes errata on its CentOS Announce mailing list. In order to import this into a package management system (like Katello on The Foreman), one needs to parse the mailing list and convert it into XML before importing it. This is done to some extent on http://cefs.steve-meier.de/ but some more legwork needs to be done before The Foreman can understand the

tests Rin Rout
Hi the list,
Some rumour (!) say that is it possible to prepare some tests for
checking our code using .Rin and .Rout. It seems to be a very good
practice, but I did not manage to find information on it.
So does someone know how it works ? What are we suppose to write in Rin ?
More precisely :
- I have a package myPack.r in directories ~/myR/myPack/R/
- I create the directory
