CentOS 7.1 NFS Client Issues - rpc.statd / rpcbind
I have seen some talk about this but have not seen any answers. I know
this is a problem on CentOS 7.1 and I also think it is a problem on
CentOS 7.0.
Basically if I have an NFS client only config - meaning that the
nfs-server.service is not enabled then I have to wait 60 seconds after
boot for the 1st NFSV3 mount to succeed.
What I can surmise is the following. I attempt to perform a NFS

CentOS 7.1 NFS Client Issues - rpc.statd / rpcbind
That is the thing - rpc.statd does have rpcbind a pre-req. It looks like
systemd is not handling this correctly. Just wondering if anyone knows a
good way to fix.
root at ls2 /usr/lib/systemd/system 110# grep Requires rpc-statd.service

Yesterday I upgraded rsync from 2.6.9 to 3.0.2 (as part of upgrading
Fedora 8 to Fedora 9). Today, I received these unexpected errors:
rsync: make_bak_dir mkdir "/backup/server/../server-before-5/var"
failed: File exists (17)
rsync: keep_backup failed: "/backup/server/var/lib/rpcbind/rpcbind.file"
-> "../server-before-5/var/lib/rpcbind/rpcbind.file": Success (0)

rpcbind fails to start after creating virbr0 bridge
Hi,
In my office I have an HP Proliant server running CentOS 7. It's a
minimal install without GUI. The machine has two network interface
cards, and for now it's acting as gateway/firewall, and it's running
ntpd, Dnsmasq and Rsnapshot.
I'd like this machine to also be a KVM virtualization host, so I
installed qemu-kvm and libvirt. The interface facing the LAN is enp3s0,
so I

Samba 4.0.3 on CentOS 6.3 as PDC.
Any help here? I have included all of the output of the suggested diags that Thomas said I should run, but I admit that I'm not sure what I'm looking for, as I'm not familiar with RPC functionality on Linux. Something is not working with RPC on my Samba 4.0.3 server. (FWIW, it doesn't work with IPTables stopped either.)

NFS mount on Centos 7 crashing
Hello,
We have a VM (under KVM - a VPS service by our ISP) running CentOS 7.
On it we have 2 NFS mounts, one for backup and one as a live file system
(where there are two user homes as well):
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
# cat /etc/fstab
/dev/mapper/centos-root / xfs defaults
