Minor patches to openssh-1.2pre17 for Solaris
...e nice to be able to set up LFLAGS somehow, to provide the
following:
LFLAGS=-R/usr/local/lib
YMMV with the path. That way the executables will run without setting
LD_LIBRARY_PATH. I can't see where to tweak this in the configure setup at
the moment - I'll keep looking.

Strange interaction of sftp and protocol version 1
...ordonr at icedvovo]$ sftp -1 timtam
Connecting to timtam...
Enter passphrase for RSA key 'gordonr at xxxxx':
sftp>
OK, we have an RSA key, which works and then sftp starts and works.
Is this the correct behaviour?
Client and server are openssh-2.5.2p2-1.7.2

2.0.3-pre2: Spurious UPS UPS@localhost battery is
...model I have access to, or is this specific
to my series of UPS?
In case it is useful, there's another success report, with mangled
battery date, in this bug:
http://www.contribs.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=352
I've asked the reporter to post the details to this list.

Thank you - newhidups (2.03-pre2) works with my APC BackUPS ES 500
Hi there,
I'm one of the maintainers of the SME Server distro (www.contribs.org)
and we've been chasing this one for some time:

Many thanks to Peter Selinger and everyone else who helped with the
debugging and patches.
Thanks,

/opt/pware64/bin/net printq info "PRINTER" -S "SERVERNAME"
smbd is configured to run but the client has not been joined to the
ADS. Do I have to add the server as a client on the domain?

Speed bumps on the way to successfully running puppetmasterd on Mac OSX Leopard, try one and two
Hey all,
I have recorded my steps towards getting puppet functional
through one of the four different methods that I can think of, which
are:
1.Source(copying and insatlling to the recommended unix FSH
directory, /usr/local/src)
2.pkg hosted at explanatorygap
3.MacPorts
4.RubyGems
I haven''t cleanly tested the last two, but here''s where I am with the
first two:

"properly" uninstall.
I run "uninstaller" and the program shows up in the list of installed

Transitioning from existing PBX
Hello -
Warning: newbie questions at 12 o'clock!
I am looking at transitioning my house from a Panasonic KXT1232 to
an asterisk-based PBX (*PBX). We currently have 5 CO lines and
16 extensions plus ADSL with a static IP. I have looked at the
various docs, but find I still have some questions.
