Rolodex for linux
As I migrate away from Windows, I need to move the data out of my old
rolodex program (written in Pascal back in the late 80's) into something
that runs on Linux. The data is stored in csv lines in a text file.
That old custom program output the data to rolodex cards on a pin-feed
dot matrix printer. (Yea...I'm dating myself).
Anyway, does anyone know of a decent...

Asterisk 1.4 : AstDB Callerid Rolodex Tool
Hi Guys,
Wrote up a small script for rolodex'ing with Asterisk this weekend.
It's really nothing fancy, but it's useful, and it's fast. Requires
apache/php on the Asterisk server for now.

integrated troube ticketing systemm would be great.
Any reference is really appreciated.
Thanks.

VoIP extn number planning
Looking for some advanced thoughts relative to exten number assignments.
We're in the planning stage for rolling out asterisk at multiple small
US telco/isp operations. Their typical voip customer has had their
pstn line for a looooong time and wants to keep the pstn line and number,
but add voip to their existing home/soho arrangement.
One approach (from a planning perspective) is to

Re: time to build an open phone?

I meant Speech to Text, I can only apologize and claim brain-lock as
to why I kept typing Text to speech. Sorry, sorry sorry....
As far as phonetic dialling paretos law applies in all cases. If the
quantities of entries in your rolodex are so high that phonetic
overlap becomes a problem you're not using your existing phone system
to dial anyway. Finally nothing precludes this limited set of users
from adding the keypad option or using a conventional VOIP phone or
using a PC based dialer but most will discover that if th...
